Hi there, I've been in surgical menopause for almost 5 years after surgery for PMDD. Since surgery, I've been trying to find hormonal balance by adding back sex hormones. Throughout this period, my SHBG has continued to rise.In spite of adding back sex hormones (I still haven't found the balance which

Recovery after cholecystectomy
I had my gallbladder removed (keyhole surgery) a month ago. All went well but pain has been worse over the last week or so. I do suffer from chronic constipation which doesn't help, but operation sites, particularly navel, still very painful. Is this normal?

Women are not taken seriously by most doctors when experiencing health problems.
I went through a really rough time a couple of years after I had my first child when I was about 31 years old. I had never experienced PMT prior to the birth. I was lucky. However, I became aware of gradual fatigue, and anxiety, and hot flushes. I went to my GP to ask if I could be going through the

Anybody experienced this....
I went in for my hysterectomy yesterday. I have fibroids which are causing really bad flooding. I had a large one removed in January but now I have 5. I can't have an ablation and they tried to fit the coil and failed so a hysterectomy was offered and I took it. They put me under anaesthetic, went in

hot flushes
I’ve struggled with these for about twenty years and they have diminished over time. However, since going on preds, just over five weeks ago, they have got worse. Nothing like when they were at their worst when I was younger, but boy do they wake me up, when my sleep is pretty poor anyway, since the

Huge polyp found - any success stories after polypectomy?
Hi everyone, Hope you are all doing okay. Please can I ask whether anyone has experienced a large polyp and polypectomy with positive outcomes? After four failed transfers and some mid cycle spotting, my fertility consultant recommended a hysteroscopy. He said he didn't expect to find anything as all

Charity request for help: GCA patients in England
Dear members with GCA, as you may be aware, NICE and NHS England don't currently allow repeat treatment with tocilizumab for GCA patients who relapse. This means that if you live in England and you've had a year's treatment with tocilizumab, you won't be prescribed it again. However, a recent study

Vagifem causing flare ups?
I've had a hysterectomy and excision and am currently in surgical menopause, about a year ago started with a return of pain/symptoms. MRI earlier this year showed what seems to be the remains of my RV nodule growing about a cm deep into the rectal wall, plus another nodule elsewhere on the bowel. I've

Experiences of endometrium polyps and successful Fresh or Get without removal?
Hi all, I'm doing IVF under a new clinic, I've had my day 9 scan today and they can see a 8mm "mark" on my lining. It's unknown if it is a polyp or scarring from a previous polyp removal in Oct 22. I did 3 IUIs with my old clinic after this and at certain points of my cycle they could see it and say

Endo diet and bowel symptoms
I'm currently trying to deal with a return of bowel symptoms which most like seem to be due to bowel endo (I have a RV lesion plus a second nodule on the bowel). I've had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy and have already had excision. I had an MRI earlier this year which showed adhesions between the rectum

Tocilizumab
I have had a BCC removed from the side of my nose. One of my rheumatology nurses told me that there is an incidence of Tocilizumab causing cancerous growths. It did pop up out of nowhere and I was shocked when the dermatologist told me that it was a slow growing cancer. Has anyone heard of this link?
