I had complications with my operation and a surgeon had to reopen me up again 2 days later. I then developed an infection in the wound. Horrible time with chronic constipation due to opioid medication then awful disrrhoea for 5 nights!! Had to have antibiotics for the wound and they were vile!! I'm getting better now though, slowly!! Wound clean and no longer infected, but still open!! Getting it dressed regularly. I've had a lot of anxiety, but I think.its just been worry really. I'm also in recovery from a double cabg in January so a lot of it is health anxiety I think. Have you spoken to your GP? Perhaps they may help? I hope so. X

Perhaps that's what is making you dizzy? Have they given you anything for your low BP?

Yes, when I was in hospital and my BP was low they advised drinking water. Once I had drunk a good few glasses my BP began ro rise. I hardly eat salt at all as I dont like the taste . Low BP is quite common after an op. Do you suffer from low BP?

Fever of 37.1 think it's an infection? Dr said I'm ok felt my stomach but she looked like she didn't even know what she was doing..

Hello Contra

I had mine removed two years ago. Unfortunately, it did not help with my symptoms. I did have terrible anxiety after the surgery since I did not know if I was going to be able to digest fats properly. So far its been okay but I do have to be careful not to over do it. Overall I miss my gallbladder. Wish there had been a better way to keep it. Hope you are well.

I am told the anaesthesia they give you for the operation can take a long time to get out of your system. It upsets the nervous system and that has to get back to normal. It just adds to the healing process. You have had a lot of stress to your body and it needs time to heal. Try to relax if you can listen to your body and don’t push yourself. If you rush you will put yourself back. All the best.

Really, how long? How can I fix my nervous system, is horrible

You can’t fix your nervous system it will heal itself like other parts of your body. It’s not serious. It is all part of having an operation. My point is that the effects of the anesthetiser will probably make you dizzy. I think you need to speak to a doctor if you don’t understand and if you are not feeling well. We are not doctors on here and just give advice from our own experiences, but we are all different. Wishing you well.

My sister JG had her gallbladder removed when she was 25. The only complication sheet dealt with after was she couldn't eat high fatty foods anymore without getting IBS.

I think everything that you're feeling right now is due to health anxiety. Which I don't blame you. Surgery is scary. And for some people it can be a bit traumatic. It wasn't something you were expecting to have done to you, but it was necessary. And even though you know it was necessary, it's still scary. Because now you have trust issues with your body. And when you have trust issues with your body that leads to health anxiety.

The dizziness is probably caused by the low blood pressure. And it seems your doctors are not too concerned about it because it might not be low enough where they need to put you on some type of medication. Which probably means you just need to eat a little bit more. And get plenty of water in you. And really just follow your doctor's orders. Don't lift anything too heavy. Take it slow if need be. And if all your blood work shows you're good, then you're good. And if you don't need medication for your low blood pressure, that's good. You may not realize that you probably have cut back on your eating because of your anxiety. Especially if you're like me who is afraid of being nauseous and vomiting. If you like pickles, that's a quick pick me up in the sodium department.

And yes, anesthesia has been known to especially in women. Make them feel more emotional and anxious. For some people that are sensitive it can take a couple of days for it to get out of one system. At least that's what I was told when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't get none of the loopy things. I did get anxious and cried but part of that was because of the pain in my mouth. But more than anything I was just really tired.

But really, I think you're okay. You just need to convince yourself that you're okay now. And you can trust your body again. You got the warning signs. That's something was wrong. And it was dealt with by having that pesky gallbladder removed. And now you're okay.

I'm wishing you healing and positive energy for you 🫂❤️

It could be the scar tissue from the surgery might have stretched a bit and it hurt.

Perhaps going back to the doctor and ask him/her to feel up your belly. Say oww where it hurts. Maybe they'll do a ultrasound to much sure you didn't give yourself a hernia. But with a hernia, you'll notice a bulge. Just could have been you lifted your niece wrong way. Pull on the scar tissue and it hurt. But to give you peace of mind, check with your doctor.

Wishing you a full recovery ❤️🫂
