Underactive thyroid and Gluten free
Hi I have been diagnosed with underactive thyroid. I have no idea what this means and was given no explanation from GP except the clinical one he read from the screen twice. I’m now reading things from the internet and getting in a right muddle. One thing I would like to know is ‘What is the connection

Test results. Antibodies even higher than before!!
Hi, I am totally confused. Following my first test results from medichecks back in April I have been following a strict gluten-free diet. Some of my symptoms have decreased and I’ve lost a bit of weight too! I thought I’d do a follow up and found my antibodies are even higher than before! I know there

Carrying medication n 'Hold' or 'Hand' luggage.
All you jetsetters...for medication do you suggest 'Hold' or 'Hand'? Meds not needed throughout the journey from A to B, only during our holiday stay and all are oral. Ok the list is: Methotrexate, Folic Acid, Hydroxychloroquine Sulphate, Ferrous Fumerate, Tranexamic Acid, Liquifilm Artificial Tears

Hi, I would be so grateful to anyone with any advice on the below. My son is 3 years 3 months old. He suffers from multiple food allergies and about 3 months ago we finally got his issue diagnosed of stool withholding. I kept thinking it was his diet but his stools were often soft. He definitely suffered

Self treating with NDT, a little advice needed please.
I would appreciate some advice from those with greater knowledge and experience of NDT as I have a few questions: •How to do I raise my FT3? •Is it Ok for FT4 to be under range when on NDT? •Can I realistically expect to feel 100% again? Progress is annoyingly slow. 1st GP Blood test: 06/04/2016

Beneficial supplements?
I was diagnosed with advanced PC with several mets to the pelvic bone, in June 2018. So far, in my short experiences with doctors, they are concerned generally about supplements that may negatively interact with my new hormone therapy (Elligard with Zytiga+prednisone). I have been on this therapy for

Multi nodular goitre
Hello all. I just had another scan (not yet got GP's comments) but was informed I (still) have a multinodular goitre (as far as I know same as 20 years ago no treatment). Swelling worse on left side, again I expected this as swallowing difficult for past year. Had private Medichecks tests, took to

Refused dose increase today
My Levo dose was reduced at the beginning of the year based on my TSH. As expected I have had severe symptom return, the worst has been dreadful constipation and fatigue, crumbled nails and low mood. I have struggled badly for 4 months now. This morning I saw a new and young GP who I hoped would agree

Everyone needs a rant sometimes - Especially with Endo!
So I don't post on here very often but I feel like I need a rant and where else better to do it! So I am always in a constant battle to look after myself as best I can - After growing up watching my mum suffer with Endo for years when there was no info out there about it I now feel that it is my duty

Heartburn and Feeling of Fullness
I've been reading posts related to an enlarged spleen. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago and I have been told all is fine "wait and watch". When I first went to my doc it was with a complaint of fatigue and other minor but unusual (to me) symptoms. I had had an appendectomy in August, by October I was

Anti coagulation
Both of my sons and 4 of my sisters have been diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder and are all on warfarin. I have never been tested for this missing factor 5 but take turmeric, fish oil and vitamin C to prevent clotting. I am 60 years old and have never had a blood clot. I put my health in God's
