Going gluten free with hashimotos
hi - I have hashimotos and have had it for 15 years. I am on levothyroxine 125mcg/100mcg alternate days. Generally I have been well on this regime. What I am enquiring about is the hashimotos and coeliac connection. I have not had any gut problems with my underactive thyroid until now - although last

Essential oils for tremors
My main symptom is tremor which as is widely known is the most difficult symptom to control. Inspired by a post on this forum, I recently started using the essential oils Vetiver and Helichrysum, mostly at night, and they actually seem to be helpful. I have no previous experience with essential oils

Can gluten-free diet reduce need for Levothyroxine or dose of Levo?
Hello I’ve heard a lot from this group about the importance of GF diet which I have been following for the last 5 weeks. I was wondering what effect it could have on hypothyroid and TSH etc? Has anyone measured the effect ? I know Yoga can help with thyroid activity - sadly I haven’t had the energy

Morning Anxiety
I woke up feeling anxious. I start a new job Tuesday and just feel nervous and a little anxious about it. Change is not easy for me. My anxiety is worse in the mornings. I meditate and use essential oils.

First posting.
I'm 74. Have cll for 4 years, just had tests yesterday and in last 3 months my wbc went from 80,000 to 120,000. Doc at stanford has been waiting watching. I hear about a pill that costs about 400 a day that buys a little time but I have no insurance. Meanwhile I'll try mayo clinic stuff where they used

Fish Oil - Little Benefit
There was a news item on the BBC (I cannot post link on my dumb phone) that said researchers had found there was no real evidence that fish oil was beneficial to the heart. Indeed it was taken off prescription years ago. There does, however, seem to be benefits to general health from Omega 3 if not specifically

Hello, my recent blood tests showed I am having slightly too much thyroxine ( I was having 100 mcg one day and 112.5 mcg the next day, splitting 25 mcg tablets). I am reducing the dose slightly, but I am feeling very achey all over and tired. I have been on a gluten free diet for almost 3 weeks. Could

Interpreting Blood Test Results - Help Needed Please?
Hello, this is the first time I have posted here. I recently visited the doctor due to poor energy levels, achy limbs, dizziness, breathlessness, restless legs etc etc. My GP did loads of blood tests but the only clear red flags were ferritin and Vit D levels. I've been on 400mg of ferrous sulphate

Does anyone take "Magnesium Citrate Calm" for severe and chronic IBS-C..has it helped?
Had to go yet again to ER for an enema for impaction/constipation. Doctor's office could not get me in, and they would have sent me to ER anyway. Have had "C" since childhood, but it became worse (my Digestive system shut down) after coming off cold turkey off prescribed Opiods. I was on the lowest dose
