Hi Everyone
Following great advice from this forum, my daughter has had more blood tests completed. Just to re-cap, she has pernicious anaemia and Hashimotos. Her levels were all over the place. Below are her latest results:
Red/white/kidney function all good.
CRP - high sensitivity 6.41 mg/1 0.0-5.0
CK - 243 IU/L 26.00-140.00
Ferritin 43.9 ug/L 13.00-150.00
Iron 18.46 umol/L 6.60 - 26.00
TSH 2.83 mIU/L 0.27 -4.20
Free thyroxine 16.200 pmol/L 12.00 - 22.00
Free T3 5.67 pmol/L 3.10 - 6.80
TA - 877 IU/mL 0.00-115
TPA 281 IU/mL 0.00 - 34.00
Active B12 134.00 pmol/L 25.10 -165.00
Folate 19.89 ug/L 2.91 - 50
25 OH Vit D 72.4 nmol/L 50.00-200
My daughter is taking:
100 mcg thyroxine
1 grain NT
She feels better adding the thyroxine. finds she is too sensitive when taking more t3
B12 nasal spray plus 3 monthly b12 injections
5 mg folate tablet
She cant take iron as it makes her ill - any suggestions which iron supplement to take which is not harsh on the stomach?
I'm guessing you will say to up her dose of thyroxine to 125 mcg?
Many thanks everyone for your help and guidance - we really appreciate it.
