Pain relief for Osteoarthritis?
Morning all, I have just completed 2 visits to the physiotherapist. He's told me that apart from paracetamol, and exercises, there is nothing I can take for my osteoarthritis. True, I can't take NASADS, (due to kidney problems.) TRAMADOL OR CODINE, (as they make me sick) but is there anything else out

Feeling so proud -I graduated today-I’m 58 and have Rheumatoid Arthritis. So pleased I took the first step nine weeks ago. And really glad that my husband started the programme today!

Psoriatic Arthritis
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis last year but my new Rheummy doesn’t think that’s it. He asked if I had ever had psoriasis before, I said no but I do struggle with extreme dry skin. I’m beginning to think I may have psoriatic Arthritis as it occurred to me I had

Taking sulfasazine
I just got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and my rheumatologist started me on this medication 500 milligrams 2 times a day, but I already have bad anxiety and depression, so I am scared that it's going to make it worse, and I already have brain fog, I took one pill yesterday morning and was too

vascular calcification
I recently had XRays taken as I have osteoarthritis and one of the comments made in the report was that I had marked vascular calcification in one of my ankles. My rheumatologist has not contacted me about this and I am wondering if some action needs to be taken as I understand this can affect the arteries

Trouble with posts
I started on this site a few months ago after a breast cancer diagnosis and the site worked fine for me up until a week or so ago. Now I'm getting posts on everything from arthritis to liver disease and more! How do I get it to only show breast cancer questions and answers again?

rheumatoid arthritis advice
My husband has been on the current regime of medications for 4 years and to date nothing has improved - his flare ups include swelling of his feet and hands, jaw pain (which makes it almost impossible to eat) and lack of energy. As a result of the rheumatoid arthritis he spend three weeks in hospital

Terrified of starting Gabapentin
Hi there. First post here and have never joined a forum like this so please be gentle. Long story short, after a lifetime of pain and misdiagnosis of arthritis, on Monday the clinical lead in rheumatology diagnosed me with Hypermobility and Fibromyalgia. I have so many thoughts and emotions about that

PMR and starting Pred
So My GP thinks I have pmr and so do I. I am not taking prednisone until the end of the month as we are trying CBD oil first (have since read it doesn’t really help for pmr). So far CBD hasn’t touched my pain. My question is this. Earlier in the week I was so sore. Needed to go clothes shopping and I

Shoulder pain
I've been having a lot of pain in my shoulders recently, it's mainly my shoulder blades, would arthritis affect these? I had a steroid injection in Feb once I started methotrexate for psa an since its worn off my shoulder blades are in constant pain especially at night. It's so uncomfortable I haven't

HI All, I was diagnosed 2015 PMR/GCA - responded to preds nicely. Rheumy and GP agreed with diagnosis.
