My story, and progress.

Thyroid and HPV
My daughter has had HPV vaccine. She has always been borderline and under the drs for continuous monitoring of her thyroid. Since the vaccine her TSH level has risen and she has become fatigued could it have started her thyroid to get worse?

New research showing that a BCG vaccination may help Type 1’s lower their average blood glucose level
Has anyone seen this research paper or similar suggesting that the BCG vaccination may help lower blood glucose in tyoe 1 diabetics? If confirmed it throws more light on why people get Type 1 and may offer hope if a future treatment. Potential mechanism for BCG vaccine reversal of type 1 diabetes: Data

Inhaler side effects
Hi all, I was diagnosed with asthma at around 12 and with the flu jab it has been controlled. I had the flu jab last September but recently had to take my inhaler more often. I used to be on a light brown one (unsure of the correct name) but stopped taking it 2/3 years back and just use the Ventolin

Today's interesting molecule. Taurine.
So I spent a couple days researching this molecule and finally just now I began to find some truly interesting links: - Creatine-supplemented diet extends Purkinje cell survival in spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 transgenic mice but does not prevent the ataxic phenotype. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

Shingrix shingles vaccine approved by FDA
I just read this article published in the New York Times, April 10, 2018. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/09/well/why-you-should-get-the-new-shingles-vaccine.html The next to the last paragraph is probably most pertinent to us. I'm sure it hasn't been tested on people with PMR yet but perhaps with

Flu shot?
Hi everyone, I was wandering from an asthmatic POV, do people here get flu-shots, does it make any difference in flu prevention? I heard it makes you worst or I'm just looking into it too hard. Thanks David.

My alternative therapy for SCA1.
My name is Joe Peck. I am 53 years old and in 2013 I tested positive for the SCA1 genetic mutation. I am neither a doctor nor a researcher, but I do have a strong background in science and graduated with honors from Dartmouth College. Over the last several years I have read hundreds of research papers
