MC in weeks 9-13
Hi everyone, I was so happy I am 9 weeks pregnant after IVF. I went to see my GP, and in a very "practical" way she said there's nothing to do now until my week 12 scan as the risk of MC is still quite high when the placenta is forming around 9-13 weeks. I am shocked, I had a MC last year and was thinking

Flu jab for over 65's - Lobectomy
Awaiting date for surgery any time now. I am booked in to have a flu jab tomorrow (13th Nov). Now not sure whether I should still have it. The lobectomy is via a thoracotomy.

Newbie introduction
Hello all, Just to give you a bit of personal history. I had my first incident of AF 5 years ago at the tender age of 36. I was cardioverted electrically and that sorted out my rhythm and pulse rate. I was then referred to a cardiologist, had echocardiograms and other blood tests. The cardiologist said

It's so nice for someone who you rarely see to be told your a nice person, the person being my pharmacist who reminded me to give me my flu jab and we got talking as to why I changed medication from pregablin to setraline and how much of a nightmare it is to get a Dr appointment with the merge going

Flu shot with lung congestion
I'm 10 years WW with unmutated, treatment looming with 192 WBC, enlarged spleen and 9.8 hemoglobin, also IVgs in the toilet. My question is about IVgs and flu shot, etc. I am concerned that the lung congestion is related to allergens, because the IG that normally handles that is low. I wonder how this

Role of Shingles virus in triggering GCA
Just a quick survey for GCA sufferers please. As a former medical / biological researcher for most of my career before I retired a few years ago, I am lucky to still have access to ( and be able to understand) medical and research publications. I have passed on a number of recent papers to my GP and

Vaccines and Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with Autoimmune thyroiditis about 6 months after having my first Flu vaccine. I have heard that Vaccines may cause autoimmune diseases, is this true/ has anyone else had this experience? Thanks.

Coincidence or what? 73 year old male with GPA.
I had my flu jab yesterday (Thursday). I have them every year without any problems. This year seemed to be the same. However, my sleep was interrupted by nightmares. I am a good sleeper, dropping off in about five minutes and sleeping through for eight hours usually with possibly one bathroom call and

No Flu Jab!
I have just been refused a free flu jab by the receptionist at my GP Surgery. I have had them for the last four years. I have RD and take Methotrexate and Humeria, I also live with my son who has Pan Ulcerative Colitis and takes Azathioprine and Octasa AMINOSALICYLATES (5-ASAS). Why? Are we not

Just back from second W7 run and boy was it tough. I struggled over the first half to such an extent I donāt believe itās possible to run any slower! Since the last run (on Tuesday) my legs have just been so stiff itās been difficult moving although I did a 5 mile walk yesterday to try and get the muscles

Healing Adrenal Glands
I have just seen a summit in which John Gray [Men are frim Mars etc] gave a talk and he says the adrenal glands can be healed using 5,000 mg of vitamin C, 5,000 mg taurine and 5,000 mg MSM three times a day. Has anyone tried this with any success? The link has a video and at the end he talks about this
