Anti-reflux surgery
I would be interested to know of peoples experience with anti-reflux
surgery
, such as partial or full fundoplication, LINX or stretta. Was it worth it? What is life like after the
surgery
? Any disadvantages? With thanks for your replies.

PSA Test less than four weeks post surgery
Urologist previously said he would wait for PSA because too close to
surgery
would be unreliable due to effects of
surgery
. Maybe this was done to justify PSMA PET scan for insurance reasons? Anyone with a quick PSA test post
surgery
showing elevated PSA that fell in the next few weeks/months?

My objective is to be able to have a specialized spine orthopedic or neuro surgeon perform corrective
surgery
on my now deformed/kyphotic thoracic. No surgeon I’ve consulted with will touch me due to my bone fragility. Anyone been in my situation?

Blood Test Results/Niraparib
Hello everyone I was diagnosed with High Grade Stage 4 ovarian cancer in July 2016, and have since had chemo, then
surgery
, and then 2nd line chemo following a recurrence. After that, in September 2019, I was offered Niraparib, which has worked wonderfully for me!

Really upset with my GP
I have called the
surgery
back and asked to see another doctor, but cannot get an appointment for 10 days as its not an emergency. Any suggestions what I should do? Oh he also said that the tapering strategy of 4,1,3,1,2,1, etc, doesnt work and he will not support it!

VETEBRAL PLASTY SURGERY FINALLY SCHED FOR NEXT WEEK
Vetebral
surgery
scheduled for Sept. 21.
PMRPRo,
can you please tell me about hydrocortisone cover (during
surgery
) and doubling up on regular Pred for a couple of days afterward? This, so I can sound intelligent when the Nurse calls. Lol. It is a local anesthetic, not being put to sleep.

knee surgery discussion with orthopedic surgeon
Hello out there, I would like to get some feedback from people who have had knee
surgery
that have RA. My last
surgery
(bladder mesh removal) meant I had no RA drugs in me for a month and it was brutal, trying to heal and being in a big flare from the trauma on my body.

Info needed before sending letter to GP
Therefore, I am in the process of composing a letter to my GP, my
surgery
, and my MP. I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding B12......well, I have had to do my own research over the past 7 years. I know way more than my GP, although she would argue otherwise of course!

3 weeks post surgery - zoladex + tibolone!
Hi all, I am now three weeks post lap #2, where they removed stage 4 endo from my ovaries, uterus, bladder and bowel. It has been a much rougher recovery this time round. The surgeon wanted me to get the zoladex implant before I’d even left hospital the next day but I burst into tears when they told

Ruptured Aorta Recovery
After approximately 1 week the operation developed a leak from the aorta and was readmitted to hospital and underwent keyhole
surgery
to repair the leak. I felt very much better after the operation than i did from the previous op.

Advice re private GP
Would I be able to use my current GP
surgery
for any other issues if necessary? I'm not sure I could finance this long term as I'm semi retired now.

It's been a long time...
I had a nasty gall bladder infection last April, resulting in
surgery
and five days in the hospital. I also got pneumonia. It all just sent my MS into hyperactivity and it's been a downhill slide since then.

Uh Oh! Should I be worried?
The pharmacist told me to talk to the
surgery
as they did not receive the order for T3. I spoke to someone on the phone at the
surgery
who said 'Oh it just needs to be signed off by the doctor, the pharmacy will have it for you next week.'
