Epsom salts.
I'm sure I read here somewhere about Epsom salts being used in someone's pain management? Sorry I'm not sure who - I don't find the site terribly easy to negotiate when looking for previous threads as many ideas come up within one posting. My question is, if using in a standard sized bath with a standard

Vitamins and minerals working or not ?
I mentioned a few weeks ago my fears that my 15 year old daughter is going down the same path 're health as me it would seem. I won't go into every detail again but she suffered weight gain as soon as she hit puberty and has had almost three years of irregular and immensely heavy periods, doctors gave

Low ferritin - anyone else had it? And the issue of who monitors your bloods......
To put this into context, I have been complaining of extreme fatigue, dizziness and generally unwell for 7 months. I have been hospitalised twice for this reason, I have not seen my consultant in that time despite requesting appts. I have been given instructions over the phone to increase my prednisilone

Dr Skinner and armour
Obviously no one on here will endorse self treatment, but if that is the choice of an individual, then there is a question I would like some help with. I have been told by my doc that I am now being referred to Dr Skinner, haven't heard anything yet, but this was only a week ago and Im guessing

A bit of creativity after emptying my purse at Holland and Barrett!
Spent a fair penny today and bought some extra supplements after reading advice on forum discussions etc, also updated the too low levels of some of my vitamins such as the low multi bvits etc. So if you can remember the old 'English Country Garden ' ditty, think of this tune whilst reading my verse

Anyone Have Any Experience Of Using Either Dead Sea salts, Epsom Salts, or Himalayan Salts In The Bath For Detoxing / Muscle Pain Relief ?
I've found a reasonably priced supplier for all of the above. I've used Epsom Salts before, and I know how I react to them (like a floppy rag doll and no energy, presumably where it's pulled out a load of toxins from my system), but I'd be really interested to find out if anyone here has tried the Dead

Whats the link between VitD and magnesium?
Have been reading a very interesting article (from someone on this site) regarding VitD/Magnesium suppliments. According to the article you should not take VitD unless you are also taking magnesium as it can cause arrythmia problems. My reason for asking is that my arrythmia could be linked to my

Iron Deficiency - even when taking iron supplements

How can my Ferritin have dropped again?
My Ferritin started out at 10, (ref range 13-150) - it only went up to 13 after months and months of supplementing with Ferrous Sulphate from the doc. I decided to try liquid iron instead so i began taking 2 x Spatone liquid sachets a day (with vitamin C) that i bought from the Chemist. I got my levels

Gentle iron supplements
My rheumy gave me ferrous sulphate as ferritin levels are only 8 but it gave me an upset stomach. I've since tried ferrous gluconate which had the same effect. Anyone know what else I can take that won't cause stomach cramping and upset stomach?

My Scary Baby Journey 1
I was so happy to find out that I was pregnant with my second baby, our first baby...a lovely little boy called Ben was a 'surprise' to say the least and it was nice to be married and have a 'planned' baby....although on hindsight I think that's where we went wrong! I had Ben when I was 22 and despite
