Self supplementation although serum Ferritin 'in range' confused!:-(
Hi, would someone be able to help me with my recent blood results? I have had problems with my iron since I was 16 I am now 31. Its been on and off and I don't eat a great amount of meat. My most recent tests are here attached but in summary my Serum Ferritin is at 46. I've totally lost faith in doctors

My partner has had severe RLS for 13 years. He's been involved in RLS studies at the Imperial College London and tried the pharmaceuticals prescribed by doctors etc but nothing worked long term. Through experimentation and hours of research over recent years we've slowly come across 2 solutions that

update Cherylclaire
Things seem to be turning around for me lately. After having to go off sick from my teaching job, I finally wrote a letter to my GP- as appointments were only 10 minutes and v. difficult for both of us as I'm having a few cognitive/ memory etc problems. She has now spoken to a haematologist for advice

Drug free and waiting for neurologist
It has been 2 months now since I managed to wean myself off the ropinirole and then tramadol so I could be drug free when I finally see the neurologist on the 1st October (a 7mth wait!) I didn't expect it would be easy and at first it certainly wasn't. However I thought it would be a good idea to use

Posh magnesium vs Andrews Salts/Boots equivalent/Epsom Salts. Magnesium can be cheap & effective. So why the posh?
Is there a reason everyone taking magnesium is taking expensive versions of magnesium when you cd take Andrews Salts or Boots' equivalent? Andrews contains some citric acid (makes nice fizzy and being acidic should help with absorption of magnesium) and a little sugar (Mary Poppins effect). Looking at

In need of advice please
Hi there. I'm new to this and have no idea how things work. I do need some advice though please. I've been anemic now for 9 years. My levels were at there lowest (2.3) when I was pregnant with my 3rd son. I was undergoing IV iron every week. Made an improvement for one week and then it was discovered

Teenybopper completed W1D1!! (Reposted since I posted in Bridge to 10k by mistake)
Last time my daughter snuck out early for her run to avoid me as she has always hated me to see her fail at anything. She didn't manage all the running but today we did it together and she did a great job. Her problem like for a lot of newbies was pacing, she speeds up within the running block. Anyhow

Epsom salts and IPN
Hello all. As part of the treatment for IPN I have been soaking my feet in Epsom salts befor massaging with peppermint based cream. Saw a Podiatrist for ingrown toenail. He said never use Epsom salts. Just some plain salt. Epsom salts have an Acidic quality that may be exacerbating the neuropathy.

Ferritin levels and B12 recovery
Will optimum ferritin levels eg 80+ help to speed up the recovery of my red blood cell production? My last ferritin level was 42. I've been prescribed ferrous sulphate to help raise my levels but my understanding is that iron levels raise slowly and gradually even on supplements. I'm struggling with
