Can't shift sore throat/swollen glands/chesty cough
I've had a sore throat, swollen glands, chesty cough, earache and headaches for a week now and my symptoms aren't really improving. I've tried resting, the usual paracetamol and ibruprofen but no luck in shifting it yet. I am quite new to lupus and wondering is this something that will take me longer

Now the doctor suggested the same procedure again and then another procedure which is burning the nerves... I said I'm gonna think about it. I'm

Lupus flair
It's now 5 weeks since I broke my wrist, but had I known then that breaking a bone triggers a flair up, then I would have been prepared, but instead it was very unexpected & especially when I started losing a lot of my long hair it felt like the end of the world to me. Today I went to see my Rhumatologist

Has anyone been treated this way before?
Hi. Okay it's been a tough couple of days. I had my steroid injections in my knees today and it is sooooooo painful, but yesterday was far worse. I got on a bus from my town centre. It's about ten minutes journey from my house. I use a walking stick and a shopping trolley because my hands are really

Polymyalgia is it or isn't it
18months ago I was diagnosed by my doctor as having polymyalgia. I had been having lots of stiffness and pain in my left shoulder and neck and some in my right. I had had problems before with my neck and right shoulder which was due to osteoarthritis and I had managed this with anti inflamatories for

bursitis in right hip (trochanteric bursitis)
I have been told I have bursitis in right hip. The pain is unbearable. I started with pain Christmas 2013. It started just above my knee, I saw a doctor in the new year and he put a steroid injection in to my leg and it eased the pain then I started with severe pain in my hip and leg. I went backwards

B12 deficiency with RA
Hi I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have been taking various drugs before and after diagnosis. A ppi(omeprazole) was prescribed to take before Naproxen (500mg twice daily) and methotrexate (10mg weekly) with 5mg folic acid 3 days later. I also have cocodamol if needed too.
