Ccp antibody
My first time on here iv just been diagnosed with RA I have had steroid injections and I’m starting methotrexate tomorrow. My question is my ccp antibody level was 289.2 today. I know it should be between 0-19 so this seems very high to me. Has anyone else had a high levels like these

Currently undiagnosed
Hi all, First time posting on here. I currently have a very large (think the size of a babies head) very painful lump on my lower right leg. I was taken to A&E in august in crippling pain, they did bloods and an x-ray (see pic) and have found a growth in my leg. Back in to see the consultant, he said

MRI update on left knee
Results of my MRI came in and show swelling and inflammation with a couple of small meniscus tears probably attributable to my squash playing and running years. Left knee has continued to be painful and I don’t feel my drug cocktail (pred, leflunomide and hydroxychloroquine ) is working. Saw my rheumatologist

Hi folks, I was diagnosed with RA in September 2017. Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine did not work for me with unpleasant side effects. I have been doing alright on Hydroxychloroquine though had to adjust the dose to 200mg/400mg alternate days. Just over the last couple of weeks, my knee has swollen

How to get my rheumatolgist to listen to me.
I started going to see a rheumatologist eight years ago and she was lovely and really tried to help me by trying various medications etc. She said that she wanted to work out which kind of arthritis I had and that it was definitely a form of inflammatory arthritis. Sadly she left the hospital to work

Info please
Doing my usual. It’s 6am and I’ve been awake for about an hour not being able to turn my brain off. So I was diagnosed a month ago with seropositive RA I’m not on any meds yet just a steroid injection at diagnosis. The steroid made a massive difference to the pain and stiffness. So far all is ok but

Ice packs
Has anyone ever tried using ice packs on their hands/wrists. Did you find it helped. I currently can’t take meds as my nutrofils are too low and it’s being investigated. Been told I can have another steroid injection but trying to hold back. It’s just my hands and wrists giving me issues at the mo. TIA

Silly question about steroid use.
I am down to 7mg per day for GCA in all my major arteries. Feeling OK and crp is pretty constant at 2 or 3. What isn't so good are my knees. I was wondering (hoping) what can be done to help my mobility, specifically steroid injection? Assuming I can't have the injection does anyone have any suggestions

Hopeful for diagnosis tomorrow!🤞
Tomorrow I see my rheumatologist consultant after over 6 months on hydroxychloroquine and two depomedrone steroid injections. I have positive ANA and have had symptoms escalating for over 4 years. Been under neurologist and then rheumatologist to finally get to this point. The consultant was unwilling

UCTD and Azathioprine
Hi everyone :-) So my Rheumatologist decided to confirm a diagnosis of Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disorder last week...I don’t know a lot about it really, other than what he told me and what I’ve googled! He suggested I start a medication called Azathioprine... but everything I’ve read about

Is it ok to have a flu jab close to a steroid one?
This coming Tuesday, I am having a steroid injection in my knee at the hospital. They seem to be making a bit of a fuss about it this time as I have to be admitted like I am in for an operation when before I just had the injection, went home and that was it. Anyway, my question is that on Saturday, I

Should I be checked more thoroughly?
Hi, I used to have a lovely rheumatologist who always checked me out thoroughly at each appointment. This included feeling the glands in my neck, having me lay on the bed while she checked out my knees, studying my fingers and nails etc. Sadly she was killed in a motor accident and now I have another
