Ureteral stricture surgery/Ureteral retransplantation, replacement of ureter w small intestines etc and specialists who do this
I have a third kidney transplant and a ureteral stricture. We have tried everything to fix the stricture but nothing has worked. So my transplant team decided that surgery was the option ,surgical retransplantation of the ureter using a piece of my small intestines where the stricture was ,in its place

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the lung transplant clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test! Everone

COVID VACCINE MANDATE

Does Tacrolimus cause forgetfulness for anyone?
I recently was speaking with a recent kidney transplant recipient, and he has memory lapses, sometimes forgetting conversations he's had. His nephrologist said it can be the Tacro as it is one of the possible side effects. He's being switched to another medication. I had not heard this, and just

ET accelerated progression
hi. I have had ET since 2004, treated with varying doses of HU and in later years also Peg. Apart from unstable platelets I have been relatively symptom free. Until this year! I have definitely struggled with HU, getting terrible mouth sores. I had a bone marrow biopsy recently which has confirmed

Update on my previous post trapped nerve and PMR.
After an MRI on my spine I do not have a trapped nerve in my back and my pain is two vertebrae bones crumbling. I have come to the conclusion that the pain in my back and bottom area is mainly my PMR flare, it is so bad I can't move without pain while in bed. Tried increasing my pred dosage from 6mg

Hi I am 2 weeks post liver transplant. Just had a thought that I am carry round Carex hand sanitiser gel which I use all the time, but just realised it contains 70% Alcohol. Is this okay to use as know you should not use mouth wash that has alcohol in it thanks

hi, anyone got any idea as to what their GFR level, or creatinine or urea levels in blood were 2 years onwards post Tx. I was shocked today to find my GFR is 32 and until now no one has ever uttered chronic liver disease Stage 3b. That can’t just happen over night and GFR results hasn’t been listed

worry over echo results
I am a 58 year old woman with a 3 generational history of dilated cardiomyopathy, including mother who had a heart transplant at 50 and am also a carrier of Becker muscular dystrophy, which carries an increased risk of DCM. I have an ECG and Echo every 3 years and when the results of the last echo came
