Nice discussion with him, I end up with additional bp med - candesartan and told I should taking

Statins and IBS C
However, I have now been prescribed
statins
for my ever increasing cholesterol and I see that one possible side effect is muscle cramps and constipation which is the last thing I need! I just wondered if anyone else takes
statins
and if so do they notice any effect on their IBS?

I need your experiences please on high liver function results whilst on statins
The
statins
are doing their job cholesterol is 1.3 and I don’t have muscle aches or pains. I am taking Atorvastatin 80mgs Questions for fellow hearties if you had to stop
statins
completely did you manage to keep cholesterol levels low? Did you manage to tolerate a different statin?

Verapamil v bisoprolol
I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF about 15 months ago, given 10mg of Bisoprolol together with Rivaroxaban and
statins
. I hate the bisoprolol, and through discussion with GP, I have reduced it, but it still gives me a 'foggy' head and, I think, has contributed to weight gain.

How have you managed to reduce the sugar in your diet after a heart attack? What kind of diet do you follow to reduce sugar?
I've managed to reduce my cholesterol to a satisfactory level by taking
statins
and being very careful about eating foods high in saturated fat.I'm concerned now about how to reduce the sugar in my diet.

decline in renal function on HBP meds
Have mild diabetes, no treatment and high cholesterol, don’t tolerate
statins
. Been getting regular bloods with diabetic nurse at new practice for past 3 years. 2 years ago I noticed my renal function had dropped below 90 and continued to drop at each check.

They seem desperate to start me on
statins
as it obviously benefits them but still remain ignorant as to the fact the Thyroid is probably the issue. Anyone experienced this? Here are my latest private test results which I had done in December. Just wondering also if my T3 is still too low?

2 1/2 year update and Rheumy consultation
I'm also on Alendronic Acid and
statins
. GP was concerned that I was unable to reduce pred so referred me to a Rheumy at the RD&E (Exeter). I had my first consult last week (incidentally the consultant was really pro PMRGCAUK) and she is worried that the pred may be masking something else.
