Thanks that’s very interesting. There are quite a few different types of statins. Which Statin works the best?

I use Pitavaststin, per the articles referenced by Bigm789 four and five months ago.

I've seen some other reports on this that seem to indicate the same thing. There's also a report that simvistatin can help with radiosensitivity of cancer cells if undergoing radiation treatment. MO and RO still want to see more evidence. Not SOC yet.

One caution: If you take Nubeqa, there can be some serious drug interaction. Cardiologist was not aware and it took some pushing to get MO to look at this. Finally, the PA to the MO did the research and came to the same conclusion.

Rosuvastatin exposure increased 5.2-fold with darolutamide because of BCRP and probably also OATPB1/OATPB3 inhibition.

Be careful with Rosuvastatin, especially high dose. My wife was on that and we both changed to atorvastatin. Why risk it when other statins do just as well as far as cholesterol, etc.

John Hopkins recently (?) posted a study that combining Pitavastatin with Metformin was quite effective. It is on the net and I have replied about it or even posted here before,
