Plant Sterols.
I've been told my cholesterol is high, it's 6.1 and my GP wants me to take
Statins
. I am not happy about this as I feel sure they will upset my IBS so I wondered if plant sterols were compatible with levothyroxine.

Lowering cholesterol Hello I have recently been diagnosed with raised cholesterol (3.1) and prescribed
statins
. I haven’t started to take them yet as I’m not sure whether to try to get my level down by making dietary changes. Can you offer any advice?

Plant-Based Diet Slows Prostate Cancer Progression By 52 Percent, Study Finds. Feb. 2023
When joint effects of the MD score and statin use were examined, a similar risk reduction was observed among men with high MD scores who did not use
statins
in comparison with men with low/moderate MD scores with no statin use.

High Cholesterol & PLAC test
I guess I'm just wondering if I should just leave it and see how get on with the
statins
or should I push for more answers (as I'm still in daily pain with my left leg twisting) Really appreciate any advice, I can't think straight, struggle making decisions and so forgetful, I live on my own and it's

got tinnitus in , The last 15 years have been quiet . 3 weeks ago given statins. 5 days ago I was given statins. ITS BACK. I’m so depressed.
has this happened to anyone else ? Did you get it to go away ? The drug says it’s potentially irreversible . Anyone out there tried hearing aids and did it help . . I keep crying .

Heart attack symptoms in women
For background, I have ME, Fibromyalgia and type 2 diabetes with associated high blood pressure and I have been on blood pressure medication and
statins
since 2008. My tests showed early signs of ischaemic heart disease and that I have recently had a small heart attack.

statins
I tried to post this yesterday but can’t see it anywhere. Is there a statin that doesn’t have increased blood sugar as a side- effect? I’m on atorvastatin 80 and am told I’m pre- diabetic. So I’d like to change, if I still have to take the awful things.

At a loss
I am so fed up at the moment with everything that’s going on as I know they say don’t take
statins
, beta blockers interfere with thyroid medication. When should I retest privately my last test was in October but just don’t know if all these medications will have a big effect on my levels.

Atorvastatin and MS
I have a quick question related to
statins
and MS. Has anyone been prescribed Atorvastatin and experienced increased muscle and joint pain. Would be interested in hearing others experience with statin drugs and its impact on their MS symptoms. Thank you.

good blood test results
The Gp will re-test in 3 months so I’ve got some work to do if I still want to avoid going on
statins
. The blood tests were done just a few days after the indulgences of Christmas so hopefully it’ll be better next time. My CV qRisk is still under 10% so I’m pretty happy this evening.
