v=0MSNUjQt0u0 I find it fascinating that doctors are aware that
statins
don't work on dialysis patients, even the KDIGO guidelines say not to prescribe them, and yet doctors still will go ahead and lower LDL using
statins

Bempodoic Acid
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been prescribed Bempodoic Acid for those who are unable to tolerate
statins
and if so, what were their thoughts on them ?I am being offered these after years of being prescribed every statin going, and even ezitembe.

There is lots of info on internet about cholesterol injections instead of
statins
, but they all seem to have side effects as well!

/considerations/ For me personally the issue is people are frequently already being treated with
statins
long before a diagnosis of hypothyroidism has ever been made.

Cholesterol rising?
If it is then - given it is a natural consequence -
statins
seems to be the ONLY answer. Is that correct? I also read that
statins
can reverse arterial plaque - is that correct?

Just told my ejection fraction is 45%, GP put me on
statins
and awaiting appointment with consultant cardiologist. No symptoms other than occasional mild chest pains after exercise. No idea what to expect now, just wondered if anyone here can give me an insight of what's next.

Statins and Cholesterol
I have been told that my blood test shows that my Cholesterol is 6.9.Are
statins
and prednisolone compatible? Not enthusiastic about adding any medications into the mix.

I have fibromyalgia, which gives me this, so am hoping
statins
don’t aggravate it. The pharmacist said people don’t realise that
statins
affect magnesium in the body and you need extra. Any thoughts on this?

Advice please
I have ditched the
statins
that I was on although I haven't yet told the Doctor. I am still taking Bisoprolol 1.25 mg. and Edoxaban 30 mg. per day as several years ago I had a TIA and I also have had atrial fibrillation.

I have high cholesterol total 6.7 but I don't want to take Statins.I eat well, avoid processed foods etc. I have annual Thyroid function tests to monitor a Thyroid goitre which is not growing and benign. General feedback
I'm going to see how the reduced dosage of bisopromol goes and also looking at a supplement of K2mk7 to maybe help with the impact of the
statins
. Does anyone else get similar problems?

statins update
As for brain fog and memory loss, don’t get me started on them 🤣 For years I have believed
statins
were toxic…… well, it turns out they are for me! 3 days of not taking them and I am returning to normal. i am now exploring other options through diet and exercise.
