COULD PMR BE A PHENOMENA OF THE GUT?
I went on
statins
for cholesterol, and started taking a Q10 supplement because I read that it helps avoid some side effects of
statins
. 2 weeks after taking the Q10 every night, my PMR went away completely. it may be a coincidence and it may be that my PMR was more or less due to clear up anyway after

I have been on a small bisoprolol tablet for hypertension for many years and my Blood pressure is ok. Recently a blood test showed a 4 cholesterol and 3 of that was bad cholesterol so the doc wants me on a statin . She prescribed Atorvastatin. My concern is can I take viagra with it? I forgot to ask

I now take aspirin, omeprazole and
statins
daily. I continue to run, sail and cycle and feel fit and well. I did retire as I had a stressful job, which along with a healthy diet and fitness regime, has meant that I lead a full and active life.

Rather than take daily
statins
they will receive twice yearly injection of this new drug. The report is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51091083 The photo is a bit dramatic - it looks as if the guy has taken a bullet from a .44 Magnum!

Statins and lethal prostate cancer
I'm just putting this out there in hopes somebody can translate it for those of us with PCa and heart disease who need
statins
to control cholesterol and triglycerides. I have no clue how well-done the study is or how conclusive or how it fits in with all the other studies.

The Medications That Change Who We Are - (i.e., Statins & Pain-Killers) - from BBC Future website

statins
and PCa that I have seen so far is that they compare patients who obviously had high cholesterol and were prescribed

Waiting forever after complications with an Angiogram
I finally saw a specialist in outpatients 6 weeks after the first incident who ran another ECG and I was then told I had definitely had a heart attack, that I needed to be prescribed beta-blockers, GTN spray and Nicorandil on top of the
statins
and that I should have an angiogram in the next 14 days.

How soon do
statins
generally start causing muscle pain ( If at all). I've lived with chronic pain; FIbromyalgia , adhesions and neuropathy for years. I 've taken oxycodone for 19 years. Had Fibro for 40 years and the rest for 20 so it's really difficult to work out what's making me so much worse.

Clopidogrel makes me feel unwell.
Hi, had a TIA on the 7th of December, only diagnosed last Thursday (2nd ) the consultant prescribed Clopidogrel and
statins
I refused the
statins
as my cholesterol is only 4.5 and assured the doctor I would bring it down to 4 via diet, ( already reduced it from 7.6 by diet ) , he was happy about that

Muscle tiredness when on Atorvastatin.
I’ve only been on
Statins
a few days but noticed I can’t walk as far as usual and have to rest a lot. Even doing things around the house is taking more effort. Will this effect lessen?

Fibroscan shows slight fatty liver
I also have high cholesterol, but have no other markers for cardio or stroke so have refused
statins
. The only fats I eat are from nuts and olive and coconut oil. Does anyone have any information on fatty liver and what dietary or natural treatments for this? Thanks!

I do eat meat and probably too many sweets but would appreciate any tips on lowering my cholesterol without taking
statins
if possible. I am care giver to my three grandchildren ages 7,4 and 2 and hope to be around for them. for a bit longer.
