Any suggestions for how to improve my poos
I expect this is probably being caused by the cocktail of meds I am taking - Methotrexate, Prednisone , Omeprazole, folic acid, Alendronic Acid,
statins
, and Vitamin D. However, I am wondering if there is anything I could be doing to improve this? Suggestions gratefully received.

Here, have some
statins
and we will drop your Levo dose. Sigh. This is a GP new to the practice and she has obviously not read my file. Over the years they have dropped my Levo from 350 a day to now 75. I take NDT and have told them, and it is on file.

Hello everyone.....
As of last Friday, my doctor has put me on
statins
to reduce my cholesterol level and also a daily low dose of Asprin. He said this was for prevention of HA and stroke, as I've never had one. I had Mild Diffuse Coronary artery disease diagnosed when I was 28, and it showed mild atherosclerosis.

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
I was given
statins
, aspirin and an ACE Inhibitor. Last Thursday I had an angiogram. That revealed a blockage in one of my arteries and I am being referred to have a stent fitted. The surgeon said I was "fairly non-urgent" whatever that means. So to my question.

New Job, stressed regarding previous health
Obviously i have had angina but following the stent i have no symptoms, feel perfectly healthy and daily take Aspirin,
statins
and blood pressure pills. The new job is for a duel fuel smart meter engineer, nothing physically demanding.

Update on cholesterol levels
He was between doubling my
statins
or adding Ezetimibe as he did not want me to lose any more weight but we decided on Ezetimibe to take alongside it as I have tolerated my current level of
statins
well and a doubling might be a bit strong for me given my size.

Confused about Statins
I'm probably just ignorant re- the benefits of
Statins
, but, I'm a bit confused following an appt with GP practice Pharmacist. I received a text saying they'd like to discuss my Cholesterol and a medicine for improving my heart and kidney health.

My cholesterol is 6.6, lower than it’s ever been and I do not want to take
statins
. My gp doesn’t want to retest TSH and I don’t think I have been tested for T3 or T4. Do I need to stop the carbimazole before doing the test and if yes, how long before?

Feeling confused!
And since
statins
don't bring down LP(a) - and may in fact increase it - it is useful to me to take a statin? What would it lower? Thank-you in advance for any information you can offer.

Statins may increase the risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The authors seem to have expected statin use to lower the risk of PCa: "... their anti-inflammatory features {
statins
} could play a role in preventing tumorigenesis." Instead: "Tumor incidence was higher among men taking
statins
, compared to controls (46.8% vs. 37.8% ...) ..."

Why so many have cardiac disease
Hope more readers explore
statins
. Please be reminded that elevated lipoprotein(a) alone will not budge with improved lifestyle (diet, exercise). For now, the best way to address that risk factor: elevated Lp( a) is to reduce LDL aggressively. Consider LDL a poison.

I was discharged with
statins
and other medication pending an MRI. I'm still waiting for the MRI and my consultant appointment is not until mid-April.

vitamin B12 high
hi , have just had my blood tests results back had to have them done because I take
statins
and metformin. My vitamin b 12 has come back at 746 which apparently is abnormal, as anyone else had high vitamin B readings when taking
statins
or metformin ?
