Week 7 first run
I have just completed the first run of week 7 using the podcasts. Have to say these are great, I would not have done it without them. I had spinal fusion surgery 11 months ago and have not even been able to run for a bus in years, I walked with a stick 3 years ago. I have amazed myself with what I can

L5-S1 spinal fusion
OK everyone, I had my fusion Wednesday the 16th. Yes it is extremely painful but I made it and already feel better. I had 6 screw's 2 pins and a plate installed. That carved a peace of hip bone to help fuse everything. I can't walk too well just yet but really pushing my self. I guess I was scared

I have two questions: a) does anyone know if there is any less-invasive way to get a confirmed diagnosis, besides a

It's all feeling a bit scary now!
This is the first time I've mentioned it but I'm going into hospital on Wednesday to have spinal surgery and although I've managed to get 'in a zone' up until now, I am starting to get nervous. One of my vertebrae is impinging on my spinal cord in my neck which is being removed and they are also having

Chicken or the egg? I've always struggled with some depression/anxiety but I have never been physically ill like this before. Why now?
Even a
spinal

....normal. Bloodwork...all normal. Recently had an MRI...ENT and ER doc both said it appeared normal. Do I even bother waiting three weeks to have a neurologist look it over? I guess I don't feel like I have any reason to have such crippling anxiety. My life is a good one.

Just found this site - thanks to all contributors.
The doctors considered a
spinal
tap
, but decided against it ( and after reading some of the experiences here, I am glad they didn't do one).

Newly diagnosed. How does PBC impact existing health problems?
Hi I was diagnosed with PBC four months ago after having a series of confused / dizzy spells leading to scans, blood tests. So I did all the practical stuff, I read the leaflets, improved my diet, took my Ursofalk and bar a few stomach upsets it was business as usual. From what I've read at this point

Pain Clinic, should I ask for a 2nd opinion?
I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis last July and although my spine is now straight I have been left in significantly more pain. Some of the pain is from my ligaments being pulled kicking and screaming into a new position and some from a sciatica type pain. I have difficulty walking, sitting, sleeping

Tired, no energy, bad neck pains and headaches, blurred vision, sore throat and some swelling on neck.
Hi all and good morning. I am writing on here as don't know what to do. I feel so tired all day even if I have a good sleep.
