Moving On To Another Trial
After a year on weekly Humira injections; I’m switching to Cimzia. Additionally, I inject MTX once a week and take 5 mgs of prednisone. I have 3 types of arthritis: RA, PsA and OA. It is a delayed diagnosis due to a misdiagnosis by a rheumatologist 3 years ago. I also have neurological factors to consider

Angiogram results

Subsequent heart scan showed no damage. This was good to hear. I was offered alternative approaches. The first,

Any experience of Remifentanil during labour?
I am 30 weeks pregnant and had an appointment with an anaesthetist today to discuss pain relief during labour. I had spinal surgery at age 12 and I have been advised that they may not be able to administer an epidural. They have suggested that it would be safer for me to have Remifentinal during a natural

Tampenadol
It looked like I needed a
spinal
fusion
but the history of infection and scar tissue look like that won't happen now. I'm waiting for a trial for a nevro spinal cord stimulator so the Tampenadol was suggested for now.

Stable Angina Maybe
Hi, I went into hospital, end of February, for spinal surgery and came out displaying stable angina-like symptoms. Having an angiogram soon after all the initial checks, heart ecg, lungs, etc. don't show the problem. Now, silly question: can chest and breathing exercises bring on precipitate angina like

Spine or Nerve related
I've had RLS for years but it was always moderate and manageable. Since I had spinal surgery last year it has been magnified x 10. Strangely, after the surgery, part of my left leg is numb. The RLS seems worse in that leg. Could RLS be spine or nerve related? Do you have nerve or spinal issues?

I had a

but it did not stop there. I have Reynard syndrome, sjedgens syndrome, chronic inflammation of the guts, low grade fever, myelopathy, degenerative spinal and cervical disease the list goes on. Since 2014 I’ve been treated with hydroxychloroquine, prednisolone and pregablin.

Desperate
I've had RLS for quite a few years but since my spinal surgery it's 24/7 instead of just at night, I can't sit and watch TV, I can't go to a movie, I can't ride in the car, and I can't enjoy life. I'm about ready to go out of my mind. After my surgery, part of my left leg is numb and I seem to get

Nerve pain left leg 24/7
Now i am facing
spinal

surgery. Not sure it will work due to, my guess, EF is causing 24/7 pain. Doctors don’t thinks so but last mri suggested “encapsulated nerve”. Not sure about surgery. Sharing your thoughts is welcome.

Yellow soft paraffin - update
Thank you everyone for your comments about the paraffin cream. I queried their usage of it and one of the nurses followed through, checked with pharmacy, and now Southampton General will NOT be using yellow paraffin for patients on oxygen! Thanks again everyone, without your support I might not have

Yellow soft paraffin BP
Hi, I've come across something this week which may help other oxygen users, maybe you l know this, but I didn't so just in case it helps someone else, I'm posting here. Yellow soft paraffin BP can be used as a lip salve when using oxygen. It is fantastic, the closest I've come to a lip balm and very
