I am confused
I was diagnosed with AF n June this year. My heart was racing up to 160 bpm and it lasted for about 3-4 days at this high rate. I was admitted to hospital and put on beta blockers. Over the month or so I was still in AF but at a lower rate. Gradually however over time my heart began to have periods

Soula’s PN Weather Update

I mostly have turbulence

What is peoples understanding/experience of RBBB? Right Bundle Branch Block.
I was told, via letter I may add and not at the time of the appointment that I have this, which surprised me and worried me all the same. I spoke to an arrhythmia nurse and he looked at my records briefly and said I'd had it for a while....now I've read (rightly or wrongly) different things on this and

Prior to a pending cardiology appointment I have been monitoring blood pressure and pulse rate and keeping a diary.
I have been using a home watch B machine which also detects if you are In A.F. I have discovered that I am actually in true A.F. much less frequently than I thought. Sometimes my pulse rate is only 55 but then it can go up to 110 and although mostly regular there are lots of missed beats and flutter

I was wondering if anyone has had botox in the piriformis or puborectalis and what their experiences were?
I have had a very successful trip to San Francisco for treatment with Stephanie Prendergast. I now finally understand what is going on in my body. After a lot of pelvic trauma, I have 'Non Relaxing Pelvic Floor Dysfunction'. A very basic summary is that my pelvic muscles go into spasm and when they contract

So Disappointed
Last week, which was 5 weeks after my recent 2nd ablation, I had an ECG and all was well with my pulse at 63. I felt on top of the world and had been for a long walk with a friend this past Monday . But to my horror very early this Tuesday morning my heat started racing after I got out of bed for a toilet

Hi Group
Found this site yesterday, look forward to some new perspectives on what the medical community has been unable to help me resolve. So here goes! -six month history of relentless pubic bone pain [along with crawly feeling in vulva] -pain under lower L rib, sometimes both -travels from ribs down lateral

New, need help, ready to give up
I need help. I have RA & a few other diagnoses. I have a left hip impingement that needs to be reconstructed or replaced. So when I started have pain in my left pubic bone back in September, I sought the help of an ortho. Nearly 11 months later, I am still in pain. I was told that I probably have a stress

Nebulised Bupivicaine
So my consultant has started me on nebulised bupivicaine. For those who don't know, bupi is an aneathetic used in epidurals, nerve blocks etc. Apparently there's very few people in the country on this specific aneasthetic and I'm the only person in Wythenshawe on it according to my doctors. What I

How do you cope with the depression caused by having migraines
I have had migraines for many years rom 17 to 50 and managed to cope with it but over the last two and halve years the episode have become unbearable . They have impacted on my life to the point that I don't have one anymore , I finding it hard to work which has a knock on financial effect. I don't

Please! I am going down to Nante for the first time in two weeks. I am going down alone and have no idea what to expect?
If anyone can give me a rundown on their time in Nante and their time with the specialists and dare I say it the nerve block which I gather is unsedated? I just want to be prepared mentally. Also I have my notes and would hate to be unprepared, do I take anything else? Are the specialists appointments

Ectopic beats, very frequent.
I have been getting these for a couple of years, and they have been becoming worse all the time. I now have them for about 18 hours a day I had a 24 hour heart monitor, and ecg, and after this, I was put on beta blockers, lowest dose 1, 25 mg per day. They did very little, so now I am up to 5

Atrial Tachycardia ,Atrial Fibrillation or both ?
After a 7 day monitor and stress test with an ECG in Nov.'12 I was diagnosed by the cardiologist with Atrial Tachycardia.I then saw an electrophysiologist who suggested he would do an EP Study.I then had another ECG ( after an emergency trip to A. & E. with a minor stroke) in Feb '13 which showed paroxysmal

Out Of Surgery!!!!!
Well my ablation was done at 12:45, they did find atrial tachycardia, and a flutter so I will have to stay in here for 3 days so they can monitor me on tykosin. I have to be on this for a bit till my heart heals properly but the EP seems to feel he took care of the problem. My experience was great!
