Has anyone tried greater occiptal nerve block injections for migraine prevention?
My migraines have got much worse this year and I am now having on average one a week. I had an appt at the NMC yesterday and they suggested I try these injections - preventative supplements and medication haven't worked so far. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has tried them and whether they

Antidepressants and Statins.
I have been taking antidepressants for approx 12 years. (present dose is 300mg per day of venlafaxine). I had a heart bypass in 2010 and have been taking statins since then. Is it okay to take these together? Also, I've heard that statins can cause muscle problems. I have a lot of muscle pain

Has anyone experienced pudendal nerve block injections? I may have to have these.
I am in the scottish borders and could travel to Edinburgh to hospital there. I have pudendal neuralgia as a result of a mistake during surgery and don't want the same surgeon to gave me the injections.

Hi I am new to this.Wondering if anyone can advise me on Drs. who treat GAVE. for my husband.
He has GAVE (watermelon stomach). He is having transfusions every 2-3 months now, used to be 6 months. Also has laser once a year which does not do anything for him. We live on the mid North Coast NSW but we will go anywhere if we can get a Dr who specialises in this area. I also want to know if there

Nerve blocks
I have just had my second nerve block to help with my Fibro/Lupus. They really do make living these these conditions more tolerable. As anyone had these for a number of years and can you tell me if they are still effective or do you wear off more quickly the more you have?. Would welcome any comments

What's new in managing pelvic pain ?
I attended the Convergences PP congress in Nimes recently. There were several interesting presentations including the results of the nerve block trial carried out by several pain teams in France. The results show that diagnostic blocks are still important but that therapeutic nerve blocks

Cluneal nerve problems/neuralgia?
Hi all, i've been to see Dr B in London, i was referred to him because of possible PN, but he thought it was the cluneal nerves causing my sitting/pain problems. Anyway he did a diagnositic bilateral nerve block, which didn't really help much. He wants to repeat the procedure to see if it helps the second

Pain management
What suggestions do people have for pain management? I have tried chiropratic intervention, massage therapy, cortizone shots and nerve blocks, accupuncture, heat and cold pacs but still have an unbelievable amount of pain. I cannot do a quarter of what i used to do and my sleep is constantly interrupted
