Prior to a pending cardiology appointment I have been monitoring blood pressure and pulse rate and keeping a diary.

I have been using a home watch B machine which also detects if you are In A.F. I have discovered that I am actually in true A.F. much less frequently than I thought. Sometimes my pulse rate is only 55 but then it can go up to 110 and although mostly regular there are lots of missed beats and flutter feelings. During those times my blood pressure is lower than usual just as it is during A. F. Episodes. Any comments or opinions appreciated as always.

Hope you feel better now

I'm interested to know about doctor comments , since I'm having the same issues here but not sure if that is flutters or tachycardia since I feel same symptoms , but in very short intervals which causing my dizziness and imbalance

What is your medication right now ? Mine are warfarin and sotalol and had ablation recently

At present am only on warfarin. Cardiology appointment is to consider medication to control rate or rhythm. It's complicated by my normal pulse and blood pressure already on the low side. I'm wondering if an ablation may be considered. Until I kept the diary I hadn't realised that I had all sorts of strange rhythms going on as well as the A.F. ! I will let you know what the doc says. I'm still waiting for an appointment to come through at the moment. Thanks for your reply Maitha. You seem to be a lot better than you were before your ablation. Hope you continue to improve. X

Good to hear that you are on warfarin , which make you safe during AF

Actually I'm still having strange short irregular rhythm from time to time with a lot of ectopic beats which I used to have it long time back after my open heart surgery 13 years ago

My BP usually on low side 90/50 just like you , I just increased the salt and drink a lot of water to keep it at least over 90 to be able to use the medication and thank god it is working right now with mini dose of sotalol .

I felt a lot better during the use of bisoprolol earlier , and I hope you will do
