Nerve Block

I had a nerve block 6 weeks ago (cervical area). After that, my pain became much worse and very intense. I was unable to do anything for several weeks and could barely walk. The front of my neck and left foot have been numb since. My new Dr has scheduled a medial branch block which is primarily for the facet joints. I have no idea if that is even a solution, but hopefully with the steroid injections with that, I will perhaps be able to have some quality of life. If that is successful, the Dr. will do radiofrequency ablation. I would never suggest to anyone to have a nerve block however. It has been awful.

I also had a cervical nerve block and experienced severe pain for at least 6 to 8 weeks after and than the pain virtually went for at least three months but is now slowly creeping back.

Oh no! That's what my new Dr scheduled. He knows the pain I have been in especially since the other nerve block I had May 1st. I cant remember that exact name of my May procedure but the facet nerve block "medial branch block" is supposed to help. I sure hope so because I have had 2 cervical fusions in the past and don't want another one especially since 5-7 years l end up in pain again. Praying 🙏🙏🙏

I had 6 cervical facet joints just over 2 weeks ago and am in more pain than I was before. My GP has had to change my pain relief to try and help. My left foot feels numb and keeps going into pins and needles as does my left hand have also lost feeling in ends of fingers on left hand. I see my spinal surgeon this Thursday am hoping there is something else he can do as I am rather fee up now.

I had corticosteroids put into mine. My excellent GP told me that you are only allowed one go on the NHS as the evidence they work is very poor. I see my Consultant in Thursday so will keep you updated.

Hi

I'm waiting to have a pain injection, I just hope I don't end up in more pain. Hope you all have a better night's sleep. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
