So I finally went to see Dr Baranowski
Well... after 6 years of on and off pain and remission and relapse I finally went to Dr Baranowski. He is mighty expensive and I didn't expect him to diagnose me, I only wanted his letter for my useless low-IQ GP so he finally does something ! He was not able to tell me why I have pain, only told me

I have some Very unusual good news.
2 1/2 years ago I had 2 root canals done. Within 3 days I was in emergency room with A-Fib. No one, including me, connected the A-Fib to the root canals. Prior to the root canals, I had never had Afib. I suffered so terribly for the 2 1/2 years. The A-F morphed into Supra Ventricular Tachycardia.

Living with Afib
I am on Apixaban twice daily. I have permanent afib. Heart rate and pulse both okay. Has anyone else just managed like this and not gone through proceedures....l am 71. Can l survive with only anticoagulants? I feel okay. Just wondering.

Anxiety and heart tachycardia
Hello everyone, I would like your opinion about something that happened to me this morning, I think it could help me. I am currently spending holidays in Greece and this morning while I was fitting my swimsuits I started to feel bad. I was having a tachycardia episode actually. I tried cold shower, breath

New to C25K
I just wanted to say hi to the 5K community. I haven’t started yet. I have been unable to run for over a year due to back problems. But recently received a nerve block injection, which means I am able to begin exercising. I wanted to build some muscle strength, doing HIT workouts before running.

Natural remedy for clitoral sensitivity/pain?
Hello, Does anyone know a natural remedy for clitoral sensitivity/pain. It was triggered by a laproscopic surgery when doctors went through pubus area into uterus. But that area is now really painful. I did a genitofemoral nerve block but it just made everything worse. Does anyone know any topical (or

Sitting (and driving)
Hello, I'm a new member of NS. I've been a HU member for about 4 years. I have a history of wide spread chronic pain (head, neck, back, hips, and ankles), but I first began having trouble with my right sciatic nerve a few months ago. I got a nerve block injection which has helped significantly, but I

WHY I HATE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION
Tuesday I went to a knee surgeon because of the knee pain and the pain specialist's findings of avascular necrosis in the subpatellar bones. She saw the MRIs and said that she sees a lot of this from steroid use, but
that it does not hurt unless the knee is collapsing, which mine is not.

Penis and testicle pain.
I've had an overactive bladder for over 3 years now and I've had various tests, everything has come back clear. Apparantly the specialist now thinks it's was prostatitis that wasn't treated early enough and has left me with nerve damage or chronic pelvic pain. Some days I can't even walk and im scared

Beta blocker sensitivity?
Hi all and many thanks to all who have helped me out with my various worries and woes etc in the last few years. I wonder if I can pick your brains and see if I can gauge consensus here or see if anyone has had similar issues. I’m 6/7 weeks since RF ablation (second one) and despite some phrenic nerve

Query re: Occipital nerve block (GONI)
I normally receive Occipital nerve block injection on the right side every 3 months for my migraines but since my last one I have started on Warfarin. At my last visit the injection was performed by a nurse who I have never seen before and I mentioned that I might be switching from clopidegrel to warfarin

Apixaban vs Warfarin?
My GP has just offered to put me on apixaban and take me off warfarin, he said that if I had presented now with my first episode of afib, I would automatically be put onto it and not warfarin. This sounds like an excellent idea because there are no dietary restrictions which as a veggie means I can

Heart Rate after exercise
I normally walk a couple of miles a day, and get my heart rate up to the maximum during the walk, as well as keeping it in the "training range" for 20-30 minutes. Yesterday, I walked with some friends who set an aggressive pace, and after I finished the walk, my heart rate would not come down below

Relief from Sciatic nerve pain.
Good morning everyone. I have incredible pain apparently caused by impingement of the sciatic nerve and have recently had a nerve block steroid injection which has not relieved the pain. It will be weeks before the after treatment appointment so has anyone any advice concerning the correct exercises

Tachycardia support
Hi all I have just been diagnosed after 17 years of wondering with tachycardia fast heart rate. And just had a doctor tell me about going I through my groin and treating it with a small burn. If it's on the right side of the heart and same for if it's on the left but it's more difficult to get too.

Anxiety/SVT/SSRIs
Over the years I had various bouts of racing heart beat especially after exercise. I also had panic disorder so it was often hard to tell whether I am having SVT or panic. I have taken SSRI anti depression meds on and off for a long time but don’t like the side effects. After I stop taking the SSRIs

Notes on post ablation/ post medication experiences
Just a couple quick notes on my experiences after ablation (December 3, 2018) and after coming off flecainide (end of March) and metoprolol (end of April) after 10 years on both: First, I was/am somewhat disappointed that coming off the meds didn’t seem to change my energy level or tiredness. I had
