B2 benefits for PD
I’ve basically done this same study I’ve linked to in this post since the first of December. 50 mg of b2 every 8 hours and no red meat. The study is 30 mg dose but I can’t find it. My b2 was very low. The test was very expensive but worth it to know. However with no side effects and being very cheap

Your thyroid and iron deficiency stories, please
My ferritin is now 7. (Safe levels being 13 and above). Haemoglobin is 114 (Safe levels used to be 120 and above but now all of a sudden are 115. Surely just a coincidence that it’s women who experience lower iron levels, as a rule. Surely). MCHC, transferrin, serum iron etc all out of whack, too

To those who replied to my post last week here is an update re my visit to the Rheumatologist today which I wasn’t looking forward to. I was seen initially by the clinical practitioner who I find easy to talk to. I explained how I have been feeling since stopping Pred in January. Fatigue, lightheaded

Iron Levels
Hi, Just a quick question if anyone is able to answer. I had some blood tests done a few weeks back at my GP Practice, thought everything was fine as didn't hear back with the results but was called this morning out of the blue. I have been advised that my iron levels are high and he may need to refer

Updated blood test results- is hypo the cause of my symptoms?
This blood test was taken at 9.15am. I had a previous blood test in February with a private GP, who suggested that thyroxine levels were depleting as TSH was slightly raised. Initial blood test (taken at 9am): TSH 4.28, free T3 4.6, free T4 15.6. So it seems like my results have improved since then

Low Energy
hey all, I completed my C25K last October and felt great 😊 however, it was short lived as in December, I found my iron levels were very low and so made it impossible for me to run, my iron levels are now back to a normal level so rather than diving back in to a 30 min run, I have started the C25K again

Help with blood test interpretation for my daughter
Hello Everyone, I'm new here and asking for my 18 year old daughter. I've come over from the Thyroid UK forum at their suggestion. She's been quite unwell for about 3-4 years slowly getting worse. We've been stuck with unhelpful medics both private and NHS who have not got anywhere with her symptoms

Advice would be much appreciated
Hi, I only found this really useful forum recently and am hoping you can give me some advice on behalf of my mum, who has very severe RLS. My mum has had RLS for many decades. It's got steadily worse over time but in the last couple of years this has accelerated and it's become far more intense. It

Advice on new results please in preparation for completing e-consult

What to do about supplements when going abroad
What do you do about supplements when flying? I don't want to take full packs of everything but can't see airlines letting you take a tub with mixed supplements in. I'm thinking of magnesium in particular. I also have a large bottle of vitamin C plus selenium and zinc emulsion but unfortunately it's
