Recently got my bloods done. As had thyroid cancer last year and checking every two months .

Results as follows

Tsh0.01

T4 17

T3 didn’t test this time no idea why. Will ask when I see the oncologist.

B12 272

Vit d 56

Iron 36 put on pills to try and bring numbers up.

My question is , my b12 is still low told all in range. Can I take b12 vitamins to increase? Gp won’t give me the injections . I have symptoms of low b12 such as tinnitus and dizziness .

I’d say your vitamin D is far too low. It needs to be above 75 for good health especially with bone health. Better 4 You spray is a great supplement. Your folate and ferritin also look too low. I get ferris fumerate 210mcg of my GP for low ferritin. I eat a lot of citrus fruits to help with my folate. B12 also looks too low. There are some good supplements out there. I get an injection once every 3 months. My sister had thyroid cancer. Like you she has to keep her TSH suppressed but not undetectable. She has many issues though. She is on mono therapy levothyroxine. I think she’d do better with added T3 and reduced T4 levothyroxine. This would still keep her TSH suppressed and I’m sure she’d feel better not having so much levothyroxine flooding her system constantly. I take levothyroxine plus T3 liothyronine for my Hashimotos.

thank you. I think I’m getting the impression from the medics if it’s in range it’s fine, but I feel it’s obviously not optimal for me. They won’t offer me injections and reluctant to go and get them in a beauty salon. Think I will try supplements, question is which brand

problem is that the NHS sets their ranges too wide. This keeps costs down they believe. But it certainly doesn’t in the long run. You can get Better 4 You sprays which are excellent my friend swears by it. . B12 you can get high strength lozenges but I can’t remember the brand name right now. Ferris fumerate 210mcg is cheap to buy on line. Not sure about folate as I’ve never taken it. GP’s just follow ranges full stop and hardly ever listen to your symptoms in my experiences. I went private only. This was my route to success in my health I feel. The NHS was dreadful to say the least.
