Rapid Heart Rate & Metallic Taste
I have had palpitations overnight and a strong metallic taste in my mouth since starting Iron tablets. I started B12 injections in November last year and have been on Ferrous Gluconate tablets now reduced to one every other day. Was wondering how long this may last, please advise - Thank You Shannondor

Hi all, I previously posted on behalf of my Mom. TSH, B12, folate and vitamin D below was taken 21/12/23. GP prescribed 50,000 unit 1 a week for 6 weeks vitamin D caps. So we see the ones called calceous 400 unit with calcium 1 twice a day did not maintain her level. So that could be one reason why she

Advice regarding Thyroid levels
Hi Could do with some advice regarding my thyroid test levels. I have Hashimoto's but am not taking thyroid medication due to my TSH levels not being high enough yet. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago after my health had declined for several years. My GP did however agree to a 25mcg Levothyroxine

Low Ferritin and raised Iron
I have always struggled to get my ferritin levels up. Iām into nutrition so eat the right stuff, including meat daily and have eaten liver pate until Iām sick of the sight of it! Ferritin was 30ās-40ās (30-200) and I thought Iād try a 14 mg iron supplement and it has raised to a record high of 57!

Wobbly iron will š
Weeks 1 to 3 managed to keep to my January pledge and ran twice a week. The weather, work and will (iron will especially is something quite new to me!) all were wobbly this week. Was determined not to let the week pass without running at all, so stuck to my guns, wouldn't be swayed by offers to go shopping

Hello, does how quickly you feel better after initial b12 injection(s) and iron infusion depend on your deficiencies severity?

Tired all the time
Lately I feel tired all the time, from when I wake up to when I go to bed in the evening, despite the fact that I sleep more than 8 hours per night. I take a lot of supplements (calcium, D3, folate, complex B, magnesium glycinate, heme iron),
the only value that was low was ferritin
but I do take

more blood results help
hi again, Iāve had further bloods taken after starting levothyroxine in July 2023. The doctor refused to do full bloods so only did TSH & vitamin D. They started me on 100mg of levothyroxine and I also took all the suggested supplements After 8 weeks I didnāt feel much better so increased to 150mg.

Medichecks results, please advise
Hi Everyone, posting my 1st ever private blood tests. Please can anyone comment, I'm quite new to this. The results came with a Dr's overview, so I'll be taking Vit D supplements but the other results appeared 'normal'. What do you think? And do the autoimmunity antibodies indicate Hashimoto's or am

Iāve been trialling T3 (sourced privately) and this has made a big difference, my % through range is much improved. Iāve been feeling better - less exhausted, fewer
