Second blood test - subclinical? Please help!
Hello, I posted here a while ago with results from a Monitor My Health blood test and got some really helpful replies. It was also suggested that I do a full test to get a better picture so I did the Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test and have just got the results - they are saying I may

Update on colonoscopy
I posted a few weeks ago about an aborted colonoscopy due to onset of AF triggered by stress of bowel cleansing prep (Moviprep). The objective of procedure was to see if any gastric issue causing blood loss / anaemia/ very low iron. Consultant keen to try again but this time agreed to use CT colonography

Iron and B12
Just caught the back end of a TV programme where a "doctor" was advising that an iron deficiency and vit B12 deficiency may be the cause of peoples T issues. Anyone been down this route or have I misheard the TV? Tried using search function in the forum but never found anything TIA

Exercise and Low Thyroid: Am I doing more harm than good? Advice, please!
I would like to ask about having low thyroid levels and doing exercise. I have hypo symptoms, and blood tests show low FT3 and FT4, but normal TSH (for reference, last blood test results are below). So far, no doctor or endocrinologist thinks I have any thyroid issue. One of my symptoms has been unexplained

Daughter thyroid results
HiI am new here with a question for my daughter (19). She is really struggling with fatigue so much so she is home from Uni. Also feels sick, headaches, really cold hands and feet and very pale. She had low ferritin last year and was put on iron tablets for 3 months. She went for a private blood test

Feeling anxious about appointment....
Just wondering if anyone can shed any information that may help me understand. I've been unwell most of 2023, was in hospital for 8 days with suspected pneumonia. Prior to this I've had abnormal blood tests for a while. I'm anemic but my iron levels, vitamin b12 levels are fine... I've had a number

What the heck, Thyroid!?
Well, I found myself in this forum by following bread crumbs left by FancyPants54 Thankfully she's a bit messy with her snacks 😊 I've been on Pernicious anemia forum for the past few years dealing with my PA/AMAG. I think I may have been selected by whomever makes such selections to have the benefit

I saw Dr Scott Cooper this morning and I am hopeful that he will help me. He was familiar with augmentation and was very thorough is his examination. He has ordered a full iron panel and checking B12 and magnesium levels. In all he is doing 3 panels. He is also doing nerve conductivity test. He said

Opinion on RLS diagnosis
I am a 35 YO female, and I’ve been suffering from migraine for the past 3 years. The intensity and frequency of migraine has increased throughout the years going from 1 debilitating attack per month to 6-8 per month.Last august 2023, I had an increase in attacks and that’s when the supposedly RLS symptoms

Genetic test positive
In November 2023 my iron labs were increased. Ferritin 117 TSAT 58 my doctor said we would retest in six month and do genetic testing but wasn’t concerned. My results just came in and it showed homogenous for H63D. I haven’t been able to speak with him yet. I am extremely scared.

Dr Berkowski Article on Dopamine Agonists Oct '23.
https://www.calameo.com/sleeplabmagazine/books/006372046fb2b80cd3776 Dr Berkowski is one of the top US experts on RLS and he firmly believes dopamine agonists cause permanent damage to dopamine receptors. This means pregabalin and gabapentin often don't work for us, nor do iron infusions. It may be helpful

Looking for comments on this opening info sheet.
I am a doctor who got interested in RLS over 6/12 ago when my wife's RLS went crazy when she was trying to use Phenergan (sedating antihistamine) to sleep. After a couple of sleepless night she was a mess and complained "And there is no treatment for restless legs!!". I thought that could not be right

Antidepressants
Hi, I have been on Esatalapram ( SSRI ) for over 20 years and it has been fantastic for OCD and awful anxiety. I get no side effects at all from this medicine- Until I developed RLS. I have tried to wean off , super super slowing and I can get down to 5mg but anything lower I become very unwell mentally

Thinking of going back on Sertraline but my partner makes it seem like i’m being weak or lazy
Hi, So I first wrote on this forum 5 years ago when I suddenly had the worst Health Anxiety of my life and it felt totally out of the blue at the time. I had never experienced anything at all like it. I woke up one day with my muscles aching, feeling dizzy, felt like I was rocking on a boat or like

iron supplements
hello! I wondered if anyone could recommend an iron supplement that has no nasties in? The GP suggested I go on it because I’m slightly anaemic. I am very careful with other supplements to not have additives that might trigger the AF (like B12, Vit D etc) but can’t seem to find an iron supplement that

Unlocking the Maze of B Complexes: A Handy List for Safe Dosages and Bioactive Vitamins
It can be quite challenging to find reliable B-complex supplements that are safe in terms of dosage. Additionally, it is advisable to opt for bioactive vitamins for added safety.
