Hi, apologies for long post. I’m a 34yo female. I’ve had symptoms that line up with hypothyroid symptoms for years. Had a few tests when my eczema flared up really badly around 12 years ago, which coincides with the time that a lot of the symptoms began. Have had fatigue basically since catching Epstein-Barr

I can't take it, I'm feeling suicidal
Yesterday I went to a thrift store on my own for the first time, and I accidentally spilled some of the shelves while my dad was calling. And I couldn't pick up the shelves because my dad was rushing me to go home, and left the man in the store to pick that mess. Today I went back and tried to offer

Keep taking the tablets!
I've just been down to the G.P. for my freebie B12 jab. (s.i. at home weekly) I told her that I've been feeling really tired lately, like I did before my P.A. diagnosis, when I was very anemic. So she says, ah, go and buy some B12 tablets from the chemist, that will make you feel better! Cue the lecture

Well, finally landed on my feet with this neurologist. Her name is Dr.Phillips, she is in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada for anyone out here seeking a neurologist. For those not familiar with the health system structure in Canada, one can ONLY get in to see a Neurologist with a referral form a first

Slow growth for 1 twin
hello, 24 .5 weeks, twins, 47yo, plenty of fibroids, donor egg (28 yo), 3 embryos reduced to 2 in T1 My echo yesterday showed that while my daughter is growing nicely (72nd percentile), my son’s growth has slowed down massively (40th-> 6th percentile). This is worrisome and may have 2 main reasons

People with high blood levels of niacin, (vitamin B3), may be more likely to have a heart attack or stroke than those with lower levels
[i]I have a confession to make: I take vitamin supplements. Why is this a confession? Well, because research has indicated for years that dietary supplements are a waste of money for most people. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2325423-vitamins-and-dietary-supplements-are-a-waste-of-money-for-most-people

Fluctuating T4?
Hi all, Would really appreciate some advice on fluctuating free T4 levels - having had a dose increase from 50 to 75mg end of September 23, T4 finally went up to 16.7 (range 11.50 -22.7) in December - I know this still needs improvement and I still have the full range of symptoms but doctors wouldn't

GP appointment went well!
So I had a follow up appointment about my latest blood results… vitamin D was at 174 and ferritin at 43.5 ug/L (20.0 - 130.0) My GP was not concerned about my vitamin D level and said resume at whatever I am taking as it’s not a toxic level 🤷🏻♀️ The ferritin level however he agreed is in range but

Bloating
Hi....I've battled with IBS for many years and following endoscopy and gastroscopy I was diagnosed with a lazy stomach. Dietary controls and careful eating seemed to keep things under control with minimal 'episodes' of wind, bloating and diarrhea. Fast forward a few years and following a prolonged course
