Recovery from heart angiplasty

Had three stents fitted in July 22. Some problems with chest pain in next three months but generally recovered well. Usual medicine routine aspirin, etc. Did rehab course but then diagnosed with slight anaemia . Put on iron tabs and generally health ok in the next year. Still had anaemia but Hemoglobin Concentration a bit low ( 120 ) seemed acceptable to medics. However this Christmas got a lot worse and have just had to have iron infusion to try and restore iron levels.

Anyone have an idea if heart medicine regime could be the cause of this iron deficiency anaemia.

Be interested if anyone can shed any light on this.

Hello :-)

I had a triple Bypass and ever since my iron levels have been low but the Doctor does not seem worried so I try and eat as much food as I can to help even though it does not seem to work :-)

I do not personally think the heart meds we take would cause this but it is something you could ask your Doctor ?

Hope you are keeping well :-) x
