RLS Blood test results, complex and in French...

Hello everyone.

I've just had blood test results back, seeking more info on my chronic / extreme RLS.

I was tested for iron panels, inflammation markers, B12 + B9 and a few other things.

The results are in French (I live in France) and quite complex.

Im posting here in the vague hope that there is someone in this community who is both fluent in French and in deciphering blood test restults, who may be able to help me understand them and see if there are any deficiencies to address.

My doctor is well meaning but knows very little about RLS and I dont trust he will know the levels RLS sufferers need to have re ferratin etc.

In the wild hope there is someone out there who can help!

Thank you! With good wishes to everyone out there

Can you post them here. You are interested in ferritine which is french for ferritin. There should be a number next to it and probably ug/L after it. Or list what unit is after it.

Also anything that has percent after it.

Those are the only ones you are interested in for RLS. Any others your doctor would tell you if they are too low or high.

Hello Cabinman,

I live in France too. If you are in the Paris area, I can recommend a wonderful doctor who specialises in RLS.

Thank you! I live in the Ariege, so very far from Paris. If I cant find a solution here I will keep that in mind though - Im glad you have found a doctor who knows what they are doing with RLS. Thank you for sharing.

If you can’t find another solution, my doctor might be a possibility. After the initial visit, you need only see her every 6 months or every year. She is very good at reacting by email if you need to change medicine.

Do you know about the French RLS association (AFE - Association France Elborn)? They might be able to help you.
