Research has shown, and this comes from work on kidney disease, that increased serum
sodium
triggers an enzyme called aldose reductase which causes the liver to convert glucose to fructose.

Planning a pregnancy with bipolar disorder
Hi all, My partner and I have decided to start trying for a baby towards the end of this year (as I need to come off of
sodium
valproate before trying). I've had a diagnosis of bipolar 1 since I was seventeen, and am now twenty-five.

I personally really struggle - I find sometimes I can’t run 10 mins without needing to go to the toilet! I do have occasional good runs to however! Just wondering if anyone else suffers

ALD with normal labs.
My liver enzymes (ast 13,Alt 10 ,alp 45), protein, bilirubin,
sodium
, blood counts, ammonia levels, and iron levels are all good. I still feel like something is wrong but the Dr doesn't think so. I'm trying a new Dr as soon as I can. Has anyone had great blood results and symptomatic cirrhosis?

Anxiety and IBS
I am wondering how many people there are like me. I have extreme anxiety caused by my IBS. I avoid going out as much as possible due to the fear of pooing myself or the fact I am too embarrassed to poo in public toilets but I’m forced to every time I go out. I have diarrhoea most days that include me

How do I find someone to take my bloods privately please?
Hello I am having a recently developed intolerance of Liothyronine
Sodium
investigated and am thinking of ordering some additional private blood tests as those being taken by the NHS seem to be very limited.

Midway through Radium 223 and look what I caught....
The treatments have left me pooped but somehow I muster up and go ocean fishing for salmon. This is from Friday. Ocean season closes today.....I got out 7 times. Kicks my butt, but it really motivates me.

Breakfast recommendations
For someone that is also diabetic with hypertension, I’m finding myself lost looking at foods that have low
sodium
, sugar, phosphorus and potassium. What kind of breakfast foods do you enjoy? My mom hates breakfast but, I try to encourage her to eat something.
