My mom seems to be recovering well since she had placed her catheter in. She’s walking around more and less pain. I feel a lot lighter emotionally since, I’ve joined this community and I have you all to thank!
I’m curious to see what are some good options for breakfast? For someone that is also diabetic with hypertension, I’m finding myself lost looking at foods that have low sodium, sugar, phosphorus and potassium.
What kind of breakfast foods do you enjoy? My mom hates breakfast but, I try to encourage her to eat something. Oatmeal and eggs make her sick in the morning so I try to give her half a bagel with some vegan cream cheese or she said she just wants plain cereal and warm cup of water. Is Greek yogurt recommended?

It would be very beneficial for you and your Mom to talk to a renal dietician. Diet is extremely important, especially on dialysis. And it is also very individualized. What I can eat may not be good for your Mom. Is there a social worker assigned to her case who can make a recommendation? Or the group that is helping with the PD might have some names.
Ask the renal dietician also about smoothies, and what are safe ingredients for your mom. I usually had very little appetite when I was on PD but smoothies were a good way for me to get nutrients in your body more easily.
