What to eat?
Thanks for posting good information. Being restricted on sodium, phosphorus, and potassium can be a challenge. I also use Davita diet tracking and planning.
Thanks for the tip on the Davita tracker. With the pandemic, my diet has not been good at all. Afraid to tell my care team what I have been eating. But hoping to change this and be more aware of what I'm eating each meal.
You may find this recording of a conversation with a renal dietitian helpful in getting your diet worked out: dadvicetv.com/diet-chat-nut...
Most kidney patients over-restrict in the beginning and don't focus on nutrition (instead focusing only on limits a few key nutrients). Working with a renal dietitian was a huge help for me in understanding what to eat and why, along with what to limit and why. Today I am far healthier than when I was diagnosed with a GFR of 8 and making the right diet choices was the driving factor in that. I encourage everyone to work with a renal dietitian, it's amazing how much that can help.

All I can say is "Thank You." I am engaged in my health care, and this 1-1/2 hour video provided me with some valuable tips!
Oh, by-the-way ... how can I be sure that I'm subscribed to DadviceTV? I just pressed the SUBSCRIBE NOW button. Is that all that is required? Thanks.
