Practical Advice for having a social life with IBS-D
I'm determined not to let IBS-D stop me from living an active lifestyle. I'm a married mom of 3 and also very social however most people around me don't know about my daily struggle with IBS-D. I'm not looking to share this information either. If I'm going anywhere with friends or family, I generally

Availability of Sodium Cromoglicate
Hi, is anyone else having supply issues with Sodium Cromoglicate at the moment? It’s been a bit hit or miss the last couple of months, but today the pharmacy attached to our GP said they can’t get it. They are having one more try and then suggest we take the prescription around pharmacists to see if

Lamotrigine and Sodium Valproate.
My neurologist is now talking about adding Sodium Valproate to my current 400mg daily dose of Lamotrigine. Does anyone else take that combination and if so how has it been? And what other drugs are people taking along with Lamotrigine?

What first?: Provenge or Nubeqa?
I have not used 2d line AR drugs yet. CRPC just started six months ago. My PSA is below 1. One small, suspected area on last month's PSMA PET scan. That is the same area that looked suspicious on PSMA PET in 2016 and on Axumin in early 2021. I did IADT 2016-2020, with continuous ADT since Jan 2021

Please help me form a plan of action based on my blood results!
Just got my bloods back and would appreciate any advice what all these could mean and/or how I can myself get well(er) as I am not at all convinced this knowledge will ever come from my clueless but kind GP and NHS Endo. By way of background, thyroid disease runs in my family, and I have had years

daughter of stage iv patient here
my mom called my 7/30/22 alerting me that my father wasn’t looking good, at all. I had seen him in March earlier that year and he was having hip and back pain, but otherwise, looked normal, if not a little tired. But some time late June/early July he lost a lot of weight, started walking weird, experiencing

Anyone Used Pascoe B12 Depot (Hydroxy)
Hi Guys and thank you all for all your help in my previous posts.... Has any one used Pascoe B12 Depot and did they notice any difference to Panpharma (Rotexmedica) Depot Hydroxy? I know it is stronger and there is only one different ingredient to Panpharma being Sodium Chloride instead of Sodium

Advice on tablets if liquid thyroxine is still unavailable.
Hi all Having seen my GP today to discuss the lack of liquid thyroxine, she tells me that they cannot just discontinue providing it on the NHS as there are several patients that can't take thyroxine in any other form. It seems it is all cost related and pharmacies don't want to order it and be out

Iodine in yoghurt...and the possibility of it interfering with correct blood test result.
I am dairy free and I have just had my Thyroxine reduced from 125 mg to 100mg. My question is that the Tesco plant based soya plain yoghurt that I normally would have, now has iodine added. One fifth of a pot, my normal consumption, contains 45.0µg iodine. I am due to have a retest to see if the reduction

imodium and buscopan
hey guys just wanted some general advice on taking imodium as well as buscopan? Imodium for the diarrhea and then buscopan for the cramps? (I am also on Amitriptyline 10mg) would all these together be too much? I seem to manage the diarrhea but recently I am getting more cramps too which don’t subside

Alk Phosphate going up after third Radium 223
hello all. Husband dx in 2017 with 489 PSA. So far we’ve done Docetaxel, Xgeva, Zytiga. Currently on Xofigo (Ra 223) it knocked the Alk Ph way down then after the third treatment it went up a few points. Has this happened to anyone? RO suggests doing 4th treatment then PSMA scan to see if there’s

MRI with Iodine
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Currently on 10mg and experiencing aches On Wednesday I had MRI with Iodine for contra imaging. All went well, Thursday no pain at all, Friday big pains again, so iodine for me at least was good. Plus I will add I flew to Spain on Thursday. It’s just

Advice on Medichecks Results Please
Hello, my first time posting! As advised on this forum I stopped Meds 24hrs before test, it was at 9.20 in the morning. The only supplement I take is Colecalciferol 800unit capsules prescribed by GP as at one point I had extremely low vitamin D. I’m on Levothyroxine 100mcg daily (Accord). I was diagnosed

Beta Blocker (Bisoprolol or Propanolol) for long-term management of high-BP?
I have consistently high-BP, which I've had for many years. The problem I have is with the Systolic (which consistently comes in the 140s or 150s range, which is considered too high nowadays). My Diastolic has always been fine. I currently take a Calcium-channel blocker (Verapamil), a Angiotensin-receptor
