What to make of these numbers? No definite diagnosis yet.
Creatinine 1.49 in September., 1.48 now.
Efgr 58 in Sept., 59 now.
A/G ratio 2.4 in Sept., 2.8 now (ref range 1.2-2.2)
Bilirubin 0.6 in Sept., 1.7 now (ref range 0-1.2)
Creatinine Kinase total 1.02 (ref range 0.6-1.0)
Urine albumin/ creat ratio- normal
Never problems with urinalysis, no protein in urine, patient overweight and was eating unhealthily. Making diet changes now (restricting sodium etc). Negative for hepatitis screens. Waiting on ANA and ultrasound. Looking back over years, creatinine and efgr have been changing without being informed. Seems BP is on higher side (didn't previously know this until nephrologist asked to track- generally 124-135/80-84). Thank you.

Hello there, welcome to this site. First of all, I have been there. I remember the first time I was diagnosed wirh CKD, I couldn't believe nobody had ever told me to be careful with my kidneys or founf anything wrong until then. I am no doctor, but based on your description the cause of your issues may be a combination of high blood pressure and weight control. Your numbers are just a little off in most of the cases. Creatinine in less than 2 and GFR close to 60 is actually good. You probably will be able to control everything with diet, increase intake of water to be better hydrated, and maybe a little medicine to control blood pressure. It is important that your doctor determine the root cause of your renal problems and help you stop the advancement of the disease. You can work to lower bavk your high numbers back to normal or keep them whre they are at least. The important thing is not to let CDK advance to high stages. You can handle this.
