Has any hypothyroidism or Hashimotos patient tried apillean weight loss supplement?

It can cost £50 to £100 per small tub in some places but it's selling but you can make this yourself at home. Alternatively according to this female doctor I spoke to at pub She said"You can use coffee instead of guarana, you can use nori seaweed if tolerated or kelp or tiny amount of wakame or if hypothyroid, MCT oil or coconut oil,1 magnesium citrate tablet, 1 calcium tablet, methyl b complex, ordinary green tea. Watch the Weight drop. Then She said skip the seaweeds if your hypothyroid or Hashis and intolerant to seaweeds she said some patients can tolerate small amounts on top of meds but take them 6 to 12 hours away from thyroxine. Just use a tiny amount of Celtic or Himalayan salt that will help instead...

Ok your thoughts! This is very interesting!

I can tell you what's not good about it

Sodium - why would you supplement with this? Perhaps get electrolytes tested to see if you need it, your sodium level might already be high.

Magnesium - it's the oxide version which is the least absorbable and generally used for constipation relief.

Calcium - this shouldn't be supplemented unless tested and showing a need for it.

B12 - this is such a minute amount it's not worth having but it's the wrong form of cyanocobalamin anyway (methylcobalamin is the better form).

B2 - with B vitamins we suggest keeping them in balance with a B Complex which contains all of them.

I can't comment on the others.

Oh dear, you really must stop talking to doctors! They do talk such a lot of rot! :)

The only thing in that list of ingredients that might help you, is apple cider vingegar. If you have low stomach acid, which a lot of hypos do, then it will improve your digstion and absorption of nutrients. But, doubtful that is going to help you lose weight.

And, I thought the Guarana and green tea weight-loss myths had been put to bed a long time ago.

Hypo weight-gain has nothing to do with how much you eat or how much you exercise - i.e. nothing to do with calories. And most of the time has nothing to do with fat. It's more likely to be water-weight. Hypos retain water. And that is far more difficult to get rid of than fat, I'm afraid.

Hehe I can't help seeing those drs there on my path everywhere!

Right I see what you mean about the water weight. So how long does it take and how to get rid of the hypo weight?

What about those on anti psychotics and anti depressants? That must be a double nightmare to get rid of?

Oh lord! I wish I knew! In 20 odd years I've never managed to get rid of the water, no matter what my dose - and at one point I was taking 225 mcg T3 a day! But, if you find a way to get rid of it, I know there are a lot of people on here that would be enternally grateful!

Yes, anti-psychotics/depressants can be very difficult to get off. I've never really taken them, except for a couple of days before deciding they weren't for me, so I don't really know much about that.

Not what you're looking for?
