wow!! That wind!! I lay awake last night listening to it blow people’s recycling up and down the street and thought to myself “ I probably won’t run”. Then this morning the forecast said it was gonna die down so I ate breakfast and let that go down and then ran. I would have run yesterday but I do

Does Maxidex steroid add to Pred dose?
I had a new lens fitted on 2 April and have to use Dexamethasomex or Maxidex four times a day. Does this add to my total steroid intake with the Pred. Am on 10 mg after a flare and trying to get back to 7.5 as soon as possible. I also have a preventative asthma inhaler which is a steroid presumably

Spirulina and Chlorella
Hi, i was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis 5 years ago and I'm on methotrexate and hydroxycloroquine. I'm was hoping to start taking spirulina and chlorella as they have so many health benefits but I not sure of any drug interactions. I've tried Google but I'm getting conflicting advice, some say

DVLA vision test
I am past 70 so needed to apply for license renewal. I know I have glaucoma in one eye so when I filled out the form online I ticked the box for eye conditions. I’m pretty certain that one of the questions was one or both eyes, I ticked one eye only. Few week later got the dreaded DVLA letter. This surprised

Drops affecting eyelashes
I'm 41, had a combined trab & lens replacement in right eye 2 years ago and just lens replacement in left eye a few months later. Now the only drops I take are Dorzolamide timolol in the left eye, twice a day.I switched to the preservative free drops a few months ago but I think it's negatively affecting

Hi , I have just recently started on the pegasys weekly injections . I am travelling to Greece and wonder if anyone can recomend the best way to keep the medication at the correct temperature whilst flying and travelling. Interferon and the liver
question to all my MPN people on here who are taking pegasys or besremi, how do you manage elevated liver enzymes? Do they cycle up and down? Is there anything we can do to bring them down? What is acceptable to y’all? My hematologist says not to worry until they hit 2-300.. My blood numbers actually

EXCESSIVE WATERING EYES
I have had normal tension glaucoma for about 12 years, I’ve had a variety of eye drops for 10 years and a Deep Scleretomy operation on my right eye 18 months ago which now needs a Bleb adjustment. For the last few years I have had a real problem with watering eyes which has gone worse in my right eye

How accurate is a visual field test?
Hello I am new to this site but have been a member of Health Unlocked for some time. I have had glaucoma in both eyes for approximately 11 years and was well controlled until about 3.5 years ago when I developed uveitis in my left eye (my worse eye for glaucoma). It was treated as an acute emergency

Edoxaban and dreams and nightmares
Hi all, Hope you all have a great Easter ... plenty of chocolate and bunnies ..... or even warm, sunny, dry weather ! Have any of you who take Edoxaban experienced the worst most sleep destroying nightmares of a violent topic ? Or even any nondescript dreams or nightmares. I did put a post on here

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them

Hi. I have had Lupus for 22 years and been on Hydroxychloroquine 400mg daily since then plus 2mg Prednisolone. Recent eye tests have shown that the Hydroxy is affecting the retina. I was warned at the outset, that it can affect eyes, but it still a bit of a shock. Opthamology Consultant says I must
