medication timing and blood

hi am currently on a t4 t3 commode bloods at 945am next week what is the best time to take them they are two tablets each tablet is levothryoxine sodium 50ug liothyronine sodium 12.5ug) thankyou in advance

Joannak, Itwould be helpful to say what time/s of day you usually take each of these medications.

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

On T3 - day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day with last dose 8-12 hours before test

so split T3 and take 1/4 tablet as per normal and 1/4 tablet at 8pm

What vitamin supplements are you taking

Essential to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least annually

It’s a combination tablet dithyron so has both t3 and t4 I take 2 in the morning I was wondering with the t3 result would I be best to split the day before one in the morning one 12 hours before bloods vitamins taking magensium and zinc d3 k2 b vitamin patches but stopped them all apart from magensium and zinc one week ago

Is Dithyron a form of NDT or a glandular?

Dithyron is a synthetic combination tablet.
