Sleep Apnea and Arrhthmia
I was recently diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and now am attempting to get used to a CPAP machine. As noted previously, I have had two ablations and have had no AFIB events in 16 months since the last ablation. However, I continue to get ongoing and disruptive PACs which are now only

Is this lymphedema?
Hi all Happy New Year! In 2004 I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer with lymph node involvement on the right hand side. After lumpectomy, mastectomy I had chemo followed by radiotherapy for 6 weeks. I went back to work shortly after finishing radiotherapy, it proved too soon and I didn't feel

Undiagnosed - Rheumatology Consult February 6th
October my wrists, elbows knees ankles and toes started hurting a lot. I went to my Primary and she did lots of blood tests, only ruling out things like lymes, sexually transmitted diseases, parvo, and the like. Slight inflammation detected... (If this is slight then WTF am in for!?) She prescribed

Itching Post-Mastectomy
I'm post bi-lateral mastectomy about 16mos. Sometimes I get the most severe itching on the right side of my chest. Also, I feel the zaps of pain & itching around different areas of my chest. I had implants removed. I experience numbness & tightness in my chest area. Dr's all say this is normal nerve

Duloxetine and extreme tiredness
I've been taking Duloxetine for two weeks now. One 30mg a night (due to go up to two a night for two weeks then three a night for two weeks!) and I don't know if it is the drug or just my fibromyalgia in general but I've been SO thoroughly exhausted lately. Today was extreme. I could not move. I've been

Pain Meds vs Kidneys
I'm pretty new to Kidney Desease and a Diabetic, but I've just been wondering what over-the-counter pain med (like aspirin, ibuprofen, nsaids such as Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Ecotrin, etc. ) is the LEAST harmful to my Kidneys, if any.

Hyperparathyroidism and breast cancer
Happy Boxing Day everyone! I'm wondering if anyone has experience of high PTH levels and High calcium? I am post mastectomy and now on Tamoxifen but the GP and the oncologist have referred me to an endocrinologist now to check my parathyroid glands. I'm also due a bone scan. I'm ok about this and

Posting on behalf on Juliet55
Hi all, this is Steph, Juliets daughter here. She has asked me to post on her behalf. My Mam was given news this week that it is a matter of weeks now, possibly months. She has been in hospital since December 7th and any intervention is too risky. She was going to be treated with a venting gastrostomy

Today is six years since my initial surgery for a left sided mastectomy. I remember feeling scared, confused and unsure if my future. I was relieved when the surgery was over and then began the battle! Four months of chemo, injections for the tissue expander, another surgery for reconstruction and then

Hello. I'm new to the group. I'm a middle-aged male and I'm here to find out everything I can about Anxiety-related conditions, Selective Mutism in particular. My niece has been diagnosed with it. My sister and I suspect that we might have had it as kids.

Hi, I am new to this site, many thanks for accepting me. I had a mastectomy 23 years ago, at the age of 39, I had 15 lymph nodes removed and several were positive. I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy. About fifteen years ago I had an silicone/saline permanent expander implant inserted
