Today is six years since my initial surgery for a left sided mastectomy. I remember feeling scared, confused and unsure if my future. I was relieved when the surgery was over and then began the battle! Four months of chemo, injections for the tissue expander, another surgery for reconstruction and then 35 sessions of radiation!!! I thought I was done as they hit me with all they had!!!! I was placed on arimidex and was ok for almost four years and then the surprise! I was re- diagnosed with Mets to the bone in may of 2016!!!! All my fears returned and the same questions intensified. I have been on faslidex and ibrance and am grateful for these meds. Today is a contemplative day full of memories. I am glad for this site as it offers support and some guidance from others going through the same. Praying for us all and thanks for the opportunity to write. Sometimes personal supports are limited!
