Anyone using GABA or L Tryptophan for sleep aids? If so, any adverse effects?

I do take GABA 250 mg several times a day not just for sleep with no negative effect
Tried everything. First get tested for sleep apnea by a dr qualified to do it...a simple finger monitor overnight. Then when the other stuff doesn’t work, you can use valerian.
I tried Tryptophan it didn't do anything for me.
I recently started experimenting with GABA chewables (NOW brand, Amazon) . Just one and I passed out, the first 2 days. Now I take one in the morning to take away the morning shakiness I get. Been taking it a few days for that and it appears to be working.
I have used GABA as a sleep aid and find it helpful sometimes, but sometimes not. I would say it is much less effective than medical marijuana and similar to melatonin, but I get more reliable effects from melatonin by taking one capsule two hours before bed , one capsule one hour before bed and then one capsule at bedtime.
I haven't had any negative effects that I am aware of.

Niacin B3 NA normalizes sleep considerably from the first days in a remarkable way.
Have just read an article 2 weeks ago that says pineapple increases melatonin by 266%, banana does same by 180% and grandma always gave us cherries and cinnamon in milk so I have a smoothie of these about 30 mins before bed. Fall asleep like a log but have to get up for a pee 2 -3 times
