Ampyra and toe cramps
Anyone tried ampyra? It’s working fantastically for me and I’m walking much better. However, I’ve had a significant increase in cramping in my toes since starting. Wondering if they are related.

Stress and fear
Hi, Went to my hematologist today.he told me to donate 1 unit of blood today and come with CBC next month.I donated 1 unit just 2 months back and my hct is 49 currently.Worried if donating so frequently is safe as I have read this disease could progress to mf over time. COPD and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (Cpap)
Hi Guys I have my nice new shiny CPAP machine (full mask f20) and the first night was fantastic, however, since then I've struggled with the machine, panicky gaspy breaths are preventing me from dropping off to sleep, it's as though my breaths are not constant and the machine tries to adjust the air-flow

RLS/Augmentation and Refractory RLS
I have been dealing with RLS for almost 40 years. It wasn’t until 1996 that I was officially diagnosed through a sleep study. I was prescribed Sinemet at the lowest dose, and over the course of 5 years developed augmentation. Doctors tried prescribing other types of medications such as antidepressants

Gave up Ambien, post-Ablation chest pain reduced...
So I have posted here in the past about my post-Ablation reflux and chest pain. I had read on other message boards about Ambien causing problems for long-term users especially with horrible heartburn and chest pain. So I finally let my Ambien prescription run out a week ago. I had a few nights of little

Does rls augmentation go away?
Hi all. New to this forum. A lot of great information on here. I have suffered augmentation at the hands of mirapex. I took it for a few years and now have been mirapex free for 5 weeks, using gabapentin as substitute. It has been a bery bad experience so far. Can anyone share their experience whether

Happy legs but busy mind. Opiate-induced insomnia
I know there is another post in here somewhere about this. The opiates I take for my refractory RLS are magic but they really keep me awake. I slept for an hour and a half tonight and I can’t function on that. I have clonazepam (up to 4 mgs) for sleeping but that doesn’t work all the time It took

It rears its ugly head...
I used to have panic attacks when I was a teenager - they were so bad that it got me exploring my own mental health only to find that I have Bi Polar disorder with anxiety and panic disorder. I have been on a medication regiment from the age of 16. Now, I'm 32 and my panic attacks have come back full

Okay, I love you folks already. SO.. per doctor I have been taking Mirapex as needed at 2-3 hours before bed. ( I didn't used to need every night) Since started taking... I now need every night and wake up with RLS and have it severe during the day. So his answer is take more meds. My point is only

Sleep Apnea Test (Out-Patient)
Finally, after nearly two years of going to the GP with extreme fatigue amongst other symptoms, I've been referred to a specialist. The hospital put me under the lung-function department for a sleep-apnea test. Had my appointment for next week after what feels like forever! I'm just wondering what will

CPAP - Finally 😁
Happy Thursday Guys I had my introduction and fitting for my CPAP machine yesterday, a sleek looking ‘ResMed, AirSense 10 Autoset’ with clip on humidifier 🤓 I managed about 4 hours with the mask on before waking up. In my sleepiness I didn’t figure that the mask was half off and the airflow was constant

Lidocaine Plasters - No longer available from Gp in UK
i have seen my pain specialist who has prescribed these at 5% - but GP says they cannot be prescribed anymore. Can anyone advise are these available over the counter at 5% in pharmacy. Seemed to be offered help for post surgery scar pain to have it whipped away, now desperate to know what to do?

Has anyone ever had a random cold spot on their body? (i.e. left leg)
It’s nothing too concerning and it is nothing that hurts. I was just curious if anyone has had a spot on their body where it kind of feels as if you have icy hot or ben gay on one spot. So not fully cold.

CMT & Fatigue - Not What You Think
Does anyone here struggle to get a good nights sleep? A neuropathic consultant I am seeing is convinced that CMT-1A and RLS are related, and the real reason for "fatigue" in CMT is actually due to the incredibly poor quality of sleep. Just to make it known, fatigue and daytime sleepiness are not the
