So I have posted here in the past about my post-Ablation reflux and chest pain. I had read on other message boards about Ambien causing problems for long-term users especially with horrible heartburn and chest pain. So I finally let my Ambien prescription run out a week ago. I had a few nights of little sleep. But it seems to be getting better and so does my heartburn and chest pain! Anyone else run into this?

I am addicted to this med and it’s the only way I can get to sleep with A Fib especially post ablation.I don’t have any side effects except addiction. When the palpitations stop I will try weaning off this ned

I had an ablation 4 weeks ago for Afib and flutter. So far so good

I'm also addicted to Ambien. Started on 5mg 18 moths ago, now on 12.5, and last night had to take an extra 5mg to stay asleep. Only seems to be effective for 3-4 hours

After I know the AF is better, I'll also try and wean off it
