Anyone tried ampyra? It’s working fantastically for me and I’m walking much better. However, I’ve had a significant increase in cramping in my toes since starting. Wondering if they are related.

Ampyra and toe cramps
I haven't had that issue. Call the people who fill your script and let them know also inform your doctor asap. You could be having a reaction to it
I'm wondering if the cramps are a side effect of more walking rather than the Ampyra. Is spasm in the package insert for ampyra? Are you stretching your feet/toes?
I’m doing lots of stretching. And I can’t find anything correlating ampyra with the cramping, which is good.
I did have a thought last night. I’ve been wearing sandals all summer due to heat. Could be lack of arch support that is aggravating my feet and toes. So I’m going to go back to shoes to see if it helps.
I've tried Ampyra without noticing any change in my walking ability. Never had any cramping. My Neurologist said to keep taking it. I recently got a letter from the manufacturer (or distribution company) (??) that said not to take it if you've ever had a Seizure (although I recall that Seizures happened to a couple of people during the drug-testing phase). I just had two Seizures three week ago (first time ever - but not totally unheard of for someone who had a Brain Injury a couple of years previously) so I stopped taking Ampyra. I'll talk with my Neurologist about it the next time I see him.
I’ve been on Ampyra for 18 months and it works for me. Haven’t noticed any cramping but did notice a bit of insomnia.
