Involuntary puff of breathe out....
My husband has had AVR and CABG surgery 4 weeks ago. Several times a day he gives an involuntary big puff of breathe out, does this happen to anyone else and/or do you know why it happens?

Any Treatment Options?
I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Lupus/Sjrogens/Hughes (already had Hashimotos's) This came on or was triggered after being hospitalised with severe Neurological Lyme Disease where I was hospitalised for many months and with nursing care at home for nearly 2 years back in 2009 - I never really got better

Living Alone after Heart Bypass
Hi everyone, I am Rob and looking for a little advice! My Father in Law is 68 and is 3 weeks post CABG x5 and staying with us at the moment, we live approx an hour away from him. He was in a lot of pain but was recently prescribed co-codamol which is managing the pain fairly well. He isn’t doing much

Chickenpox
I’m a nanny and at work today I had three of the children off with chickenpox. I’ve never really given it much thought, I’ve taken care of children with chickenpox before. But should I be concerned? Am I likely to catch it? I had it as a child so I’m assuming I’m immune but googling hasn’t set my mind

Update on BRIM x7 and my family
One other thing - he has a very large
skin
graft
on his leg - from an injury when he was in his 20's. It never healed right. It is the best it has ever been. Weird but true.

All Fired Up
Hi I have been watching the BBC Race Across the World from London to Singapore without using Air Transport. This has fired me up to consult Maps of Europe and to see where we can travel without Planes. So looking at Ferry to France ( we live near to Poole ) then drive through France to Holland heading

MXT and Basal Cell skin cancer
Hello everyone. Has anyone taking MXT gone on to develop any skin cancers please? My 86 year old mother has been taking MXT 20mg per week since she was diagnosed with RA three years ago and has recently developed 3 areas on her scalp one of which has been biopsied and results were BCC. It was removed

Splinter
i recently pulled a splinter from my index finger, now it's swollen and has been for several days. I applied ice to the finger and the swelling has not gone down. What should I do?

Chicken pox and auto immune disease?
Hi all. My son has woken up with a few spots and I'm obviously concerned it is chicken pox. Though I don't think this IS on this occasion (though I'll be monitoring) it did raise the possibility of him getting it in future (he is 6). I never had chicken pox growing up and I realise that it is serious

ARE WE EVER GOING TO BE DRUG FREE
After reading the posts this morning, the one on "cold hands and feet" where someone raised an issue I had indeed thought of before but without any knowledge of. After a heart procedure - mine a CABG - will I ever become drug free?

POST CABG AF RECIVERY.
Hi I had a CABG X2 and a mitral repair on 19 Feb 2019. 11 days post Op I developed AF. I am on a Beta Blocker and Blood thinner. The cardiologist has mentioned a cardio aversion if the medication doesn’t stabilise the heart rhythm and high pulse. Does anyone have experience of Cardio. Aversion

Cancelled CABG (again and again and .......)
I deleted my last post as I thought, on reflection, it was too much of a rant and too negative content, when others have their own problems to deal with. But here I am again. I've had 5 separate dates for surgery since begining of February, twice I've actually been in hospital, prepped and all ready

Forgot
I meant to include this with the post-graduation meditation. Ice free at last, I give you the AlMorr Loop: down from here as far as you can see; hang a right and over the BirdyRose Bridge, then under the pines up to Wimborne Corner. Take a right over the bridge there. Then straight ahead up the bank
