Completely normal. Try not to scratch, but instead keep some emollient handy, and smooth a blob gently into the area to keep the skin healthy.

Thank u for ur reply 😃 I live in the NYC area and will be going to my doctor on Wednesday I will be asking him for a referral for a skin doctor 👨‍⚕️

When you see your doctor, ask if they can suggest a suitable La Roche Posay skincare product. I know these are recommended in numerous US hospitals, and I find their clinically-trialled products excellelent.

Yes and it is wise to use a bland product so as not to cause any more irritation. So Hydromol or Epaderm would be perfect.
