All,

I wrote to Nalakrats and he asked that I post to the group. It is only our experience - so please do what you need to do.

Hope your vacation is going well. Hope you get a gator!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on my dad and some interesting news on his brother. My dad's PSA continues to go down. He took a break due to the flu from Xtandi and is back on it. He is very healthy and happy considering. His brother had a Gleason 9 - never had it removed and got into a program in St. Louis that killed it ( and almost him ). That was 3 years ago. His PSA is still 0.01. That Dr. is now with the Vetrans Admin in DC. I can get his name if your interested. He had a proprietary protocol. So fast forward to now. My dad's brother - got T-Cell cancer. It is bad - with lumps everywhere. He could not even pee. They put in stints. He really does not do a lot of follow-up. Now, he is on a very aggressive Chemo - had his 3rd round. They indicated it might kill him when it started.

The reason I am writing is because of BIRM x7. He is on the x7 - about 6 weeks now. He was at his Dr. yesterday. His blood count is perfect - for the 3rd time - and the Dr. amazed. The Dr. asked what else he is doing as NO ONE - he means NO one had this good of numbers 3 weeks after the 3rd dose. It takes about 6 months to get there if you live. Russell did not tell him - only that he eats well. The only thing other than the treatment he is taking is BIRM. He does not even tell his wife - as she is a - if its not from a Dr it will kill you type of person. She would throw it out. I know others question it - it is keeping his immune system healthy so he can continue treatments. His scans are getting better and they will now do 6 treatments instead of 4.

Thank you and this site. Your providing options to consider is key to a longer and healthier life. It is our choice to see if it helps. I really appreciate your continued input. One other thing - he has a very large skin graft on his leg - from an injury when he was in his 20's. It never healed right. It is the best it has ever been. Weird but true.

That's very encouraging. I started on BIRM concentrate about two weeks ago. It coincided with getting my winter head cold. Guess what? I've still got my head cold! I guess BIRM can do lots of things, but the common cold reigns unvanquished.... I'll be getting my post-BIRM PSA in a couple of weeks, so it'll be interesting to see if it does anything in that department. Thus far, I can say I feel any different (taking 2ml twice daily)

I'd be very interested in hearing what was in the proprietary protocol the VA Dr administered. I could DM you, but other guys might be interested too.

Congrats on the good news but I think you should tell the doctor about BIRM -- oftentimes patients can educate their doctors and this might benefit other patients of this doctor.
